Today we will be dealing with 10 Bible verses to pray when you are in need. The bible has admonished us several times to lend a hand of help to people who are in need. Sometimes in our lives, we may also need help from other people.
First thing we must understand is that our help will come from the Lord. Psalms 121:1-4 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. This portion of the scripture made it known that our help will come from God the maker of heaven and earth.

However, we must also understand that God will not come from heaven to help us during our moment of need. He will send people to help us. Remember when Isrealites were die in need of help, God raised Moses to bring them out of slavery. For every moment of need, God has prepared a means of escape for us. There is someone somewhere that God has prepared for us to help us in our moment of need.
If you are in need, we have compiled some bible verses that you can pray with to get help from God.
Bible Verses
Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
When you need help from God, always use this Psalm. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. This means God is always present to help us out of dangerous situations.
Remember the story of the three Hebrews that were cast into the lake of fire? Remember the story of Daniel when he was thrown into the den of lions. When all hope is gone, we have a God who steps in and change the tide of things. He is our help in the moment of weakness.
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Even in our moment of need, we must always trust in the Lord. We serve a God who is the great provider. When we need help, we must endeavor to believe God is powerful enough to provide for our needs.
The scripture says for without faith it is impossible to please Him. Our faith in the Lord puts God to perform wonders in the our lives.
Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
This bible passage is teaching us how to exercise our faith and authority. Ask and it will be given to you. This means that when we are in need, we have the grace to ask and it will be released unto us. The passage further states that we should knock and it shall be opened, we should seek and we shall find.
We lack because we have not asked. We are in great need because we have closed our mouth.
Hebrews 4:15-16 “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
When our heart is filled with guilt to an extent that we can’t beg God for forgiveness, this is the right scripture to use. The scripture says we do not have an high priest that can not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. This means we can always go to God in prayers. However, we must endeavor to go with a genuine heart of repentance.
1 Chronicles 4:10 “And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, ‘Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!’ So God granted him what he requested.”
We know the story of Jabez. He was cursed from birth and it had a great impact on his life. Jabez struggled far beyond his mates and yet he had little to show for it. His life was marred with difficulties and challenges. It was clearly noted that Jabez needed help for his life to take a new form.
Jabez cried unto the Lord that if you would bless me and enlarge my coast and God answered his prayers. This is to further explain that when we ask we receive.
2 Chronicles 14:11 “And Asa cried out to the LORD his God, and said, ‘LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O LORD our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!’
We should also cry to the Lord the same way Asa cried to the Lord for help. The steadfast mercy and love of God endures forever. When we cry to Him, He will help us.
You have no power of your own, you have no formular you want to use, that’s why you must seek help from God. Cry to God today and help will come.
Psalm 27:9 “Do not hide Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation.”
This is the prayer of a destitute begging God not to hide His face from him. We must always seek the face of the Lord in every situation we find ourselves. Whether good or bad, we must always let God guide us.
The more we seek the face of God, the closer He becomes.
Psalm 37:40 “And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.”
This is promise from God. He has promised to help us in every situation we find ourselves, He has promised.to deliver us from the wicked. All that is expected from us is to trust in Him.
Psalm 60:11 “Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless.”
Those that put their trust in the Lord shall not be dissappointed. This passage is begging God for help. We must understand that the help from man will end in dissappointment, little wonder the Psalmist stated that I will lift my eyes to the hills from where will my help come? My help will come from God the maker of heaven and earth. Only God can help us.
Psalm 72:12 “For He will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper.”
God will wipe away tears from our faces, He will take away our pains and agony away and restore peace.
