Prayer For The Nation of Ethiopia

Today we shall be engaging in prayer for the nation of Ethiopia. Ethiopia is one of the African countries that never fell under colonization. However, in 1936 the country’s capital was captured by the Italian empire. It was not long before the Nation of Ethiopia got freedom from colonization.
Despite being one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa, Ethiopia still has poverty to contend with. Ethiopians have seen abject poverty flourish on their land and they seem helpless about. Prayer for the Nation of Ethiopia will save the country from the greatest enemy of her own self.
Following the war against her own neighbour Eritrea, Ethiopia felt the heavy blow of the war. As if that wasn’t enough, natural disaster is the biggest causes of poverty in Ethiopia.

More than half of the entire population of Ethiopia are into agriculture. However, the level of poverty in the country has tamed the commercialization of modernised farming. Also, natural disaster like droughts and other abnormal atmospheric conditions has made it very difficult for Ethiopians to conveniently feed themselves.

WHY SHOULD YOU PRAY FOR THE NATION OF ETHIOPIA

The book of Psalm chapter 122:6 has taught us to always pray for the good of Jerusalem. The entire continent of Africa is our Jerusalem here on Earth, because this is the place that we dwell.
Whether you are an Ethiopian, Ghanaian, Nigerian or whichever country that you belong to on the continent of Africa try to say a prayer for the Nation of Ethiopia.

Always pray for the Nation of Ethiopia that God should Himself select the leaders. The people after God’s heart, who will do the biddings of God Almighty, God should make them leaders. The book of proverb 29:2 when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
Pray that as many as those that are in government in Ethiopia, God should give them His own heart. That they will lead the people in alignment to the Will of God.

The people can only flourish well when the economy of a Nation is grounded and working effectively. Should any negative thing happen to the economy, the people will pay dearly for it.
The economy of Ethiopia needs prayer. If Ethiopia is regarded as one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa and yet poverty still flourish without a hindrance, it is high time you should say a prayer for the Nation of Ethiopia.

When God restored the captivity of Zion, they were like those who dream, Psalm 126: 1. If God can stabilize the economy of Zion, He can do the same to the economy of Ethiopia.
Things should not go wrong where there are firebrand Christians, because when there are people to pray, there is God Almighty who is still in the business of answering prayers.

PRAY FOR THE CITIZENS OF ETHIOPIA

When Christ Jesus was talking about the church, He didn’t mean the physical structure but the people. While saying a prayer for the Nation of Ethiopia, remember her citizens, the people of Ethiopia. The people of Ethiopia are going through a lot. They need the strength of God to carry on. Always pray that God should give them the strength not to backslide from His presence.
