Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Christmas time is the time where we celebrate the birth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. The Christmas season is a season of celebrations and jubilations. This season is always filled with all kinds of merriments and jamborees, but the truth still remains, Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Christmas is all about Jesus Christ. Today we are going to be looking at Christmas prayers for families. As believers, we must not be carried away by the secular way of celebrating Christmas.

Christmas is not all about santa claus, is not all about carrying red candles and wearing red hats and white gowns. Christmas is not called xmas, these are all the worlds way of neutralising the spiritual significance of Christmas. Chrsitmas is a spiritual event and must be seen and celebrated that way, that is why today i have compiled these christmas prayers for families.

Why Celebrate Christmas?

Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Some religious bodies do not agree with the celebration of Christmas, they argue about the birth of Jesus Christ, they also claim that we replaced a pagan worship and blah,blah, blah. The truth is this, they miss the point of the celebration of Christmas, we are not celebrating the age of Christ, He is eternal and ageless, rather we are celebrating the finished works of Christ. We are celebrating the God of our salvation, we are celebrating the grace of Jesus that has saved mankind. That is why we are celebrate Christmas. Man has finally made peace with God through Christ, that is worth celebrating. According to the above Scripture, if we decide to celebrate it on the 25th of December and call that day Holy, that is our Choice to make.

Family Prayers For Christmas

As christmas season is fast approaching, we must pray for all our family members. The Christmas season is a season where alot of events take place, alot of travels and alot of parties. We must commit ourselves and our family members to God, we must pray for the salvation of our family members that are not save, we must pray for the protection of all our family members, we must pray for safe journey in all there travels, we must pray for supernatural provisions as we celebrate Christmas. Also we must make sure we go to Church to thank God on that day. Thisw christmas prayers for families will guide you into a glorious christmas celebration. As you celebrate your christmas in a godly way, the blessings of this season will overwhelm you in Jesus name.

1. Father, I thank you for sending Jesus Christ to the World

4. Father, i thank you for the salvation of all my family members in Jesus name

5. Father, may the purpose of Christmas be fulfilled in my life and my families in Jesus name

6. Father, i declare that all through this Christmas, i shall never lack any good thing

7. Father i declare that all through this christmas, no member of my family shall mourn in jesus name

8. I declare that every issues of my life shall be settled this christmas in Jesus name

9. Jesus came to take away my sins, every sin in my life is flushed away this christmas in Jesus name

10. I shall not beg this Christmas in Jesus name.

11. All through this Christmas celebration we shall see Gods goodness in Jesus name.

12. No weapon formed against any of my family members shall prevail this christmas in jesus name.

13. Father, I thank you for all through this christmas, nobody will tell me “sorry” in Jesus name.

14. Father, I thank you for all through this christmas, it shall be congratulations all the way for me in Jesus name

15. Father, I thank you for all through this christmas, no evil shall be fall me in Jesus name.

16. Father, I thank you for me and my household shall be preserved all through this christmas in Jesus name.

17. Father, I thank you for this christmas for us shall be our christmas of favour in Jesus name.

18. Father, I thank you for this christmas for us shall be a christmas of celebrations in Jesus name.

19. Father, I thank you for sicknesses and diseases shall be far from us this christmas in Jesus name.

20. Father, I thank you for lack and want shall be far from me and my household this christmas in Jesus name.
