Prayer for Deliverance from Sin

We have been led by the spirit of God to give some specific prayers for deliverance from sin. As much as God would love that man rise and live the pure Creed of their creation, sin has become a hindering factor to that. When God created Adam in the Garden of Eden, the plan of God was for man to have a consistent koinonia with Him, for man to have dominance over everything that was created.

It was inevitable that God created the heavens and the earth. However, God, in his holy majestic, can not stay on earth. Hence, he needed to put some people in charge of the earth to have dominion over the earth on behalf of God and the host of heaven. Little wonder, God will always descend during the cool of the evening to have a chat with Adam and know how his day went.

The relationship between Adam and God made God realize that Adam needed something very important, a companion. God then created Eve to be the supporting system of a man. Meanwhile, the creation of Eve did not alter the relationship that had existed between God and Adam. God maintains His relationship with a man until sin broke in. Immediately man sinned, God couldn’t help but went away from a man simply because his face is too righteous to behold iniquity.

The creation would have been perfect if not for sin, and up until now, sin is still thriving among men. To some, it is like sin is inevitable; the purpose of Christ’s death is to rescue from the curse of the law, which condemns any sinner to death without giving a chance for repentance. However, the death of Christ did not abolish sin but only gave us a means of escape from sin and iniquity by giving us the holy spirit.

The power that the holy spirit gives us will liberate us from the power of sin and iniquity, which has been made to limit our progress in life. Sin will cause the spirit of God to depart from us and make us void of the spirit. It is capable of clearing our path to ensure that we never find our way to the cross again, and in all, it will bring eternal death. All these consequences of sin is imperative for every man to try as much he/she can to break free from the power of sin. To this effect, prayer for deliverance from sin is therefore, compulsory for every believer who still battle with sin in the secret.

PRAYER POINTS

Lord Jesus, the essence of your death and resurrection is to free me from sin. You took the cross, went through the street of shame, and paid the capital price with your precious blood that I may be saved from the curse of the law. Lord, how bad will it be, that thousands of years, even after your death, I’m still wallowing deep in the toxic of sin. I take solace in the scriptural text that emphasized that we shall know the truth, and the truth shall set us free. Jesus, I have known the truth that genuinely you died that I may be saved from sin, I launch into the covenant of freedom that was made with your blood in Calvary, and I announce my total deliverance from sin in the name of Jesus.

Father in heaven, my heart is greatly bittered when I learned that sin has no good it does to a man except to put one into bondage. Jesus, I’m tired of being a slave unto sin, and I have made my resolution to walk on the path of righteousness. However, this will be difficult if the shackles of sin have not been broken yet from the back, I pray for mercy that will give me victory over sin, Lord I ask that you will give it unto me in the name of Jesus.

The Bible says we can not be in sin and ask grace to be surplus. Lord God, you reign because your mercy over man endureth forever. I beg for your mercy over my sins and iniquities that you will make me see you. The Bible made it known that the face of a sinner will not see Christ, Lord Jesus, I pray that by virtue of the blood that was shed in Calvary, you will wash me entirely from my sin in the name of Jesus.

Father in heaven, your word made it known that you do not want the death of a sinner but repentance through Christ Jesus. Also, you have not sent your son to the world to condemn the world, but for us to find salvation through his death. I confess all my sins before you today, I’m a glorified liar, a thief, I indulge in sexual immoralities. As much as I’m not proud of all these bad things I do, my repentance away from it doesn’t last long either. This is why I need your help to assist me in overcoming the flesh that has to want to take over my entire being. I pray for mercy that will lift me above sin. Lord have mercy on the name of Jesus.

Father Lord, sin has overridden my life. It has become inevitably impossible for me to do without it. Bad enough, I can not even boast of them outside, whereas I can’t confess them to man instead because of shame and reproach. I take strength in the book of Psalm that says unto you have I done this iniquity and done this evil in your sight. And the book of proverbs says he that hides his sin will not prosper, but he that confess and repent will find mercy. I seek for total repentance, and the everlasting Lord gives me the grace to overcome sin completely in the name of Jesus.

For Christ has died, this is my plea, truly sin has overpowered, but Christ has died to save me entirely from it. I seek your strength to eradicate sin in the name of Jesus.
