Prayer Points To Walk In Love

Today we will be dealing with prayer points to walk in love.

Rom. 8: 35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake, we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Glory to God for His Unfailing Love. The above scripture states that nothing can separate us from the love of God. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”

The Love of God is further expressed in the above verse in the offering of his son for the forgiveness of our sins. In Heb. 10:12-23 we see that the cleansing was done once in a year by the Priest who would enter into the holies of holies and this was done to cover sins. Christ came and offered himself once and for all for us that we should live in the newness of life.

In verse 24 it talks about love. And let us consider one another to provoke unto, love and to good works: The good news is about the love of God to all men. Jesus came to serve as a model of Love for us to follow. Instructions all over the epistles on how we ought to love one another..

Eph 4:32 says, “And let us consider one another to provoke unto, love and to good works:”

We are in the world but not of the world. The people in the world might not know a thing about how to the love of God works so they would literally live life and relate to others as they wish. As children of God and Christians we ought to let our light shine that men may see the light of the Word that we have received.

Let’s see an example where forgiveness was expressed in Philemon 1: 10-19.
Onesimus used to work for Philemon but scriptures recorded that he stole from him and ran away. He then came in contact with Apostle Paul who preached to him and spoke to him about Christ. Apostle Paul in verse then appeals to Philemon to then accept him no longer as a slave but as a brother. The implication of this is that offences held against him should be let go of, a hand of love should be extended to him and forgiveness should come into play.

In verse, Apostle further writes that all that he used to owe Philemon should be put to his charge. What this teaches us as Christians is that we would come in contact with people who would offend us every day, every now and then, but we have been called to live a life of forgiveness that stems out if the understanding of God’s Love.

Just as Christ died for us while we were yet sinners,  Rom. 5:8 says “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” This means that no matter what we have done, the love of God never fails. The love of God does not depend on our actions and inactions. He first loved us.

1John 4:19 At the points when this becomes hard to deal with, at moments when we realize that we cannot do this on our own, in times when we are hurt by people who we never expected would hurt us, we are to call on God. We should understand that the Spirit of God is always available to help us to express love, to take away our pain, to heal us of hurts and help us to continue in love.

That’s why we need and ought to always pray for the help of God that the love of God is she’d abroad in our hearts by the HolyGhost that has been given to us. Good news is that love is possible; love is achievable and always available for us whenever we need it.

• Father in the name of Jesus we thank you for your unfailing love, thank you because nothing shall separate us from your love over us according to Rom. 8:39
• Father in the name of Jesus we thank you for your daily mercies, steadfast love and faithfulness over us, our families and friends.
• Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for the Spirit of God that dwells in us, helping and guiding us in all our relations with people.
• Father we pray that you help us to love you more, that the zeal to serve you increases in our hearts and we come to know the love of God by experience in Jesus name.
• Father in the name of Jesus we pray that you help us to see others with the same lenses that you see them in Jesus name.
• Father we pray that our love abounds towards our neighbors by the power of the Spirit in the name of Jesus.
• We pray in the name of Jesus that our speech is seasoned with salt; we speak to one another in love and we know how to answer each one at all times.
• We pray that you help us to let go of offences, strive and resentment in the name of Jesus.
• Father in the name of Jesus, we are not overcome with unforgiveness towards others; we are filled and overflow with love by the Spirit of God.
• We pray that we are filled with the fruits of righteousness and we walk according to your word in Jesus name.
• Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that you help us to live in love and peace towards all men as you give us the ability in Jesus name.
• Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that, we come to know the length breadth, length and height of your love for us, we are yielded to the Spirit of God to express same toward others in Jesus name.
• We pray that in our homes, the love of God dwells richly in the name of Jesus.
• In our marriages, we pray that husbands are taught of the lord to express love to their wives as Christ loved the church in the name of Jesus.
• We pray that wives are taught by the spirit of God to express love to their husbands in the name of Jesus.
• We pray in the name of Jesus that the devil would have no place in our homes, in the lives of our children in the name of Jesus.
• Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that in our businesses, workplace and career, we express love and deal with people out of the abundance of love in our hearts in the name of Jesus.
• Father in the name of Jesus, we do not gratify the desires of their flesh, we walk in the Spirit according to Gal. 5:23 in the name of Jesus.
• Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you because you were, you are and you will be our strength in times of weaknesses in Jesus name.
• We thank you Father because our love abounds, we are helped to love as Christ loves in Jesus name.
