READ: Mark 5:1-20
1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
The worst of all demonic operations is possession – that is, when the enemy has taken over completely and is now dwelling inside the victim. Unfortunately, there are many people walking around with one or more demons inside them.
The mad man of Gadara was posed by thousands of demons. He was seriously tormented by the demons, but he could not get rid of them. When Jesus sent the demons into the swine, the pigs preferred to drown themselves than to harbour these evil spirits inside them. In 1 Samuel 16:14-23, King Saul started acting like lunatic when he was posed by an evil spirit. The goal of the demons when they posses a person is to use the fellow to carry out the agenda of devil on earth and then ultimately destroy him or her.
PRAYER POINTS
- Lord reveal every evil activities of the evil ones concerning my life
- Destroy every demonic activities going on in my life
- Father, deliver my family’s soul from sudden death, in Jesus name.
- Father, All those that have hidden their net for me and my family in the pit of death shall go down into the grave they have dug for us, in Jesus mighty name.
- Father, because I choose to walk before God in the land of the living, my soul and that of my family members is delivered from premature death, in Jesus name.
- Father, I prophesy that every ploy of the devil and his agents to take my life and that of my family suddenly shall backfire on their heads, in Jesus name.
- Father, let your mercy deliver my family’s soul from the grave, in Jesus name.
- Father, every appointment with death in my family is hereby instantly turned to disappointments, in Jesus name.
- Father, those who are on death row in my family are released unconditionally by the blood of Jesus Christ
- Father, every chain of darkness and death over my family are broken to pieces, in Jesus name.
- Father, in my family, we are delivered from death, tears and from every form of sorrow, in Jesus name.
- Father, I decree that no matter what, I and my family members shall not die before our time, in Jesus name.
- Father, turn me and my family away from the highway that leads to death and bring us to the way of long and fruitful life, in Jesus name.
- Father, deliver those who are inline to be slaughtered by the enemy in my family and break the necks of the enemies that are sent to slaughter, in Jesus name.
- Father, I prophesy today that I and my family are a new creation and we have conquered death, I declare that I and my family shall be satisfied with long life, in Jesus name.
- Father, in my family, premature death has been swallowed up in victory forever, in Jesus name.
- Father, I declare today that all covenant of death over my life and my family is annulled and shall not stand in Jesus name.
- Father, because the dead cannot praise you, let me and my family live so that we will praise you before the great congregation and even in the face of our enemies, in Jesus name
- Father, because God has no pleasure in the death of me and my family, therefore we shall not die but live, in Jesus name.
- Father, turn any day appointed for mourning in my life and that of my family to a great day of dancing, praises and thanksgiving, in Jesus name.
