Today, we embark on a prayer of thanksgiving to the Almighty. Firstly, we glorify God for the grace that allowed us to witness the last month of 2023. In the midst of this challenging year—with its losses, victories, laughter, tears, and moments of despair—we are foremost thankful for the Lord’s mercies. This special season calls us to gratitude, recognizing that if all we can do is give thanks, it is more than sufficient. God’s faithfulness has carried us, and we acknowledge that His mercy has kept us when others have passed away or are fighting for their lives.

Approaching the festive season and the new year, let us express our thanks to God for bringing us this far. Scripture declares it a good thing to give thanks, and we magnify His holy name. Gratitude flows not just because God is God, but because He has been our protector. By His mercy, we are preserved, and despite battles and arrows, God has granted us victory. We exalt His name, recognizing that had the enemy triumphed, our story would be different. God’s faithfulness has saved us from traps and wicked schemes.

Understanding What Thanksgiving Is

Thanksgiving, as believers, is our act of praising and adoring God for His goodness. It’s a practice that God desires from us consistently. Thanksgiving is not bound by seasons; it’s a continual attitude. In both good and challenging times, we must express our gratitude to God. Our thanksgiving is not solely reserved for moments of prosperity but also during adversity.

This attitude opens doors to answered prayers, as God, like any caring figure, values and cherishes a heart filled with gratitude. Just as parents appreciate a grateful child, our Heavenly Father treasures our thanksgiving, even in the face of challenges. As we give thanks to God, may our prayers be answered. May the Lord arise and rescue us at the point of our needs. May His Grace and blessing never depart from us.

Prayer of Thanksgiving To God Almighty

• Father Lord, I thank you for your protection from the first day of 2023 till now. I thank you because your spirit never departed from me. I magnify you because you envelop me and family under the wings of your protection, may your name be highly exalted in the name of Jesus Christ.
  
• Father I thank you for your mercy. I thank you because it is by your mercy that I’m not consumed. I thank you for your grace over my life and family. I thank you for the marvelous doors of opportunity that you opened, I thank you for the access that you granted me, may your name be exalted in the name of Jesus Christ.
  
• I thank you Lord because even in the midst of my battle, you are still God. I thank you because you have not left in my troubles. I thank you because you stop the rage of the enemy and destroy their plans over my life.
• I thank you because you didn’t allow me be tempted beyond my faith. I thank you for the grace of sufficiency, I thank you for the grace of stability, may your name be exalted in the name of Jesus Christ. 
• Lord, I thank you because you didn’t let my life be disrupted by terrible sickness. I magnify you because you didn’t allow the enemy rob me of good health, I magnify you because you are the great healer, may your name be exalted in the name of Jesus Christ.
  
• Father Lord, I thank you over my family. I thank you over every member of my family, I thank you because I didn’t lose any of them to this year. I magnify you because the enemy didn’t allow the enemy to take any of them away, may your name be exalted in the name of Jesus Christ.
  
• Lord, I thank you for the remaining days in 2023, I thank you because your grace will see me through it. I thank you in anticipation of the new year. I magnify you because you have settled all that concerns me. I thank you because your mercy and protection will remain eminent over my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
  
• Thank you Lord because I have successfully crossed into the new year. I thank you because you have given your angels charge over me. May your name be exalted in the name of Jesus Christ.
