Today we will be dealing Prayer Against Witchcraft and Sorcery. Witchcraft and sorcery are real spiritual threats that can manifest in various forms, often bringing harm, confusion, and destruction to individuals and families. As believers, we must be vigilant in prayer, standing firm in the authority given to us through Jesus Christ. This article explores the biblical stance against witchcraft and provides powerful prayers to combat these dark forces.
Understanding Witchcraft and Sorcery
Witchcraft and sorcery are practices rooted in the manipulation of spiritual forces through rituals, spells, and other ungodly means. The Bible clearly condemns these practices as abominations before God:

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (NIV): “Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells… Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord.”
Galatians 5:19-21 (NIV): “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
The Power of Christ Over Witchcraft
As Christians, we have the assurance that Jesus Christ has triumphed over all the powers of darkness. His victory on the cross disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them:
Colossians 2:15 (NIV): “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”
1 John 4:4 (NIV): “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
Praying Against Witchcraft and Sorcery
Engaging in prayer against witchcraft and sorcery involves invoking the name of Jesus and standing on the promises of God’s Word. Here are some powerful prayers to help you combat these forces:
1. Prayer for Protection
Scripture Reference: Psalm 91:1-4 (NIV): “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty… He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your divine protection over my life and family. I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment is condemned. I ask for Your covering and refuge, that I may dwell safely under Your wings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
2. Prayer for Deliverance from Witchcraft
Scripture Reference: Isaiah 54:17 (NIV): “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I come before You in the authority of Your name. I renounce and break every form of witchcraft and sorcery that has been sent against me or my family. I declare that these powers are null and void. Deliver me, O Lord, from every evil work, and preserve me for Your heavenly kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Scripture Reference: James 1:5 (NIV): “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Prayer: Father, I ask for wisdom and discernment to recognize any form of witchcraft or sorcery operating around me. Give me the insight to detect the enemy’s schemes and the strength to resist them. Guide me in Your truth and protect me with Your righteous right hand. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Scripture Reference: Ephesians 6:10-11 (NIV): “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
Prayer: Almighty God, I ask for Your strength and courage as I stand against the forces of witchcraft and sorcery. Clothe me in the full armor of God, that I may stand firm against the evil one. I declare victory through the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.

1. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your protection over my life and family, and I declare that no weapon of witchcraft formed against us shall prosper, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Lord Jesus, by the power of Your blood, I cancel every spell, incantation, and curse spoken against me, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. I break every chain of witchcraft and sorcery that has been used to bind my progress, in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. Every spirit of witchcraft assigned against my life, I command you to be consumed by the fire of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ.
5. I declare that every evil altar speaking against me is destroyed by the power of the living God, in the name of Jesus Christ.
6. Father, I nullify every evil word spoken against me in the secret places by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus Christ.
7. I command every witchcraft manipulation over my health to be broken right now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
8. Every witchcraft power working against my destiny, be scattered and rendered powerless, in the name of Jesus Christ.
9. I decree that all forms of sorcery against my family and loved ones be destroyed and rendered ineffective, in the name of Jesus Christ.

17. I command every witchcraft power hindering my breakthroughs to be destroyed by the fire of God, in the name of Jesus Christ.
18. I speak confusion into the camp of every witch and sorcerer plotting against me, in the name of Jesus Christ.
19. Every witchcraft power assigned to frustrate my efforts, be destroyed now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
20. I release the fire of the Holy Spirit to consume every witchcraft material planted in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.

28. I declare that my life is hidden in Christ, and no witchcraft power can penetrate my divine covering, in the name of Jesus Christ.
29. I command every witchcraft assignment against my marriage and relationships to be destroyed, in the name of Jesus Christ.
30. Father, I thank You for the victory over every form of witchcraft and sorcery in my life, and I declare that I am more than a conqueror, in the name of Jesus Christ.
