In addition, security functions are integrated into Jetpack so that a website using Jetpack is better protected against brute force attacks. Jetpack also optimizes and speeds up the loading of images integrated on the website.

Google Services

  1. Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense, a web advertising service provided by Google LLC. Google AdSense uses Cookies. In addition, Google AdSense also uses so-called “web beacons” (small invisible graphics) to collect information, through the use of which simple actions such as user traffic on our website can be recorded, collected and evaluated. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon (including your IP address) about your visit to this website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

Google uses the information thus obtained to carry out an evaluation of user behavior with regard to the AdSense ads. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google AdSense will not be merged with other Google data. The information collected by Google may be transferred to third parties where required to do so by law, and/or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. For further information please refer to our Cookie Policy. The legal basis for the processing of your data is our legitimate interest in the targeted use of advertising.

If you do not wish to participate in our advertising personalization or retargeting/tracking you can object to behavioral advertising at the following websites: Your Online Choices, Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada, Network Advertising Initiative or AdChoices.

  1. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics which means that the data collected can in principle be transmitted to a Google server in the USA, whereby the IP addresses are anonymized by means of IP anonymization so that an allocation is not possible. Google analytics places cookies. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can object to the collection and processing of this data by Google Analytics by setting an opt-out cookie that prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is based on your consent.

  1. Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts by Google LLC on our website to display external fonts. To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established when our website is accessed. The connection to Google established when you call up our website enables Google to determine which website sent your request and to which IP address the display of the font is to be transmitted. This represents a legitimate interest.

  1. Google Tag Manager

We also use Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. No cookies are set, and no Personal Data is collected. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags that may collect data. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags, insofar as these are implemented with the Google Tag Manager. More information on the Google Tag Manager can be found at the following link: http://www.google.com/tagmanager/use-policy.html. This represents a legitimate interest.

  1. YouTube Videos

We have integrated components from YouTube (Google) The integration requires that YouTube can perceive the IP address of the user. The IP address is required in order to send the video content to the user’s browser. If you click on a YouTube component (video) on our website, your internet browser will be prompted by the component to download a corresponding representation of the component. In this way, YouTube knows which specific sub-pages you have visited. The legal basis for the data processing is our legitimate interest and your consent.

However, like any link, they do lead to your data being processed by the social media platform at the latest when you click on the link. As a rule, the social media platform stores cookies on your device or even your usage behavior in your account, especially if you are logged in yourself.
