The year is gradually coming to an end. It is the time of the year when families are thrown apart. It is the time of the year when the cold hands of evil visit families and throw a blissful home into morning. We have  gotten to the time of the year where family needs protection and guidance.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 – But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. Thankfully, when it comes to our safety as individuals and family, God is not silent. He is our refuge and fortress. And in this perilous time, we will call on Him and He will answer us. More than ever, families must begin to walk in the light and guidance of the Lord. We must not depart from his presence because we are in perilous time and the enemy is on rampage.

Just before we launch into prayer for protection and guidance, let’s talk about how we can continue to walk in the protection and guidance of God.

3 Ways We Can Walk In Protection and Guidance of God

We must be equipped with the right knowledge. By the virtue of this knowledge, we can make the right decisions. Here are 3 ways we can walk in the protection and guidance of God.

By Obedience 

Deuteronomy 5:33 Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.

Do Not Rely On Your Strength 

James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Submit all to God. The more you continue to rely on your strength and ability, the more you are telling God that He’s not needed. For many years the children of Israel were languishing in pain and agony in the land of Egypt. Often than not they have tried to stand for themselves but all to no avail. God left them until they remembered that their fathers served a God whose name is Jehovah.

God is in no competition with anyone and certainly, he won’t compete with you. If you are telling God you can do it by yourself, God will simply excuse himself.

Ask For Help

Jeremiah 33:3, Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Always ask God for help. Ask Him for protection over your life and family. The scripture says and it shall be given unto you, seek and you shall find. Do not keep silent. God is our Heavenly Father and He’s always ready to listen to us when we call on Him.

• Showing thanks to God is telling Him you’re not ungrateful and when our thanks moves God He does more than what we deserve.
  “Thank you Jesus for always standing by and with my family. This past few weeks has not been very great but you have made us a strong pillar of strength for each other, with your guidance and strength we have been able to pull through and still amongst the living souls singing and chanting hallelujah to your holy name. We’re really grateful.” The Bible says in everything always give thanks. As a family pray together and show God a sincere heart of gratitude.John chapter1:16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.
• Oh God we pray that you forgive us our sins and make every crooked ways straight for us.
• Oh Lord you said we shall not be harm by any evil arrows because our God neither sleeps nor slumbers, protect our coming in and going out in Jesus name. Do not let any evil arrow passing by come near our dwelling in Jesus name.
• By the blood of Jesus we cancel all forms of unforeseen circumstances in Jesus name, no evil shall come near our abode.
• God we ask that you always help us when we want to make decisions as you’re the only that will not allow us go astray, always give us directions
• We hand over the wheels of our home to you that you always be in charge and at the central of our home
• Every ancestral gods that has been causing backwardness and hindrances in our lives and making us go through difficulties, by the fire of the Holy Ghost we destroy them in Jesus name
• Every evil covenant our forefathers has entered which is now affecting we the children and causing us to experience setbacks and unhappiness, we pray you destroy this evil covenant now by your blood. We have been redeemed by Jesus’ blood.
• Oh God we pray that when we want to make decisions that you direct us in Jesus name be it career decisions, decisions concerning our children, moving forward of the family, in all Lord we pray that you always communicate with us and help us understand and know the way leading to success and breakthrough
• Protect us from all the wiles of the devil in Jesus name. Do not allow the enemies mock us in Jesus name.
• The Lord is our Shepherd and we shall not lack good things in our family in Jesus name.
• Henceforth we declare that like a warrior, that we have escaped, prevailed,saved by the mercy of the Lord which speaks on us as His children.
• Our current situation is that we’ve risen and fought and won against the storm disturbing our life and we are covered by God’s grace because the name of the Lord is a strong tower in which the righteous run into and are saved
• Henceforth we are conquerors and victorious in Jesus name
