PRAYER FOR THE NATION OF BURUNDI

Today we shall be engaging in prayer for the nation of Burundi. Burundi is a landlock country in the African continent. The country sit conveniently on in central part of Africa where the East and Central Africa had converged.
Burundi is a landlock country, meaning it doesn’t have any sea that connects it to the outside World. If anything will come into Burundi from the western World, it has to be through land or air transportation.

Having gained independence since 1962, Burundi is sure no more a baby when it comes to self government. However, the nation still suffer from immeasurable money laundry, bad governance and poor economy. The economy of Burundi is quite poor not because there are no available human resources but because the nation is poor when it comes to natural resources.
One of the major occupation that is used to characterise a poor nation is agriculture. Sad to note, agriculture contributes more that 40 percent of the GDP of Burundi and more than 90 percent of citizens of Burundi are into agricultural practises. Coffee and Cocoa is the biggest exportation in Burundi. This means that the economy of Burundi basically depends on favourable weather conditions.

Also, when it comes to health, Burundi solely depends on aids given to them from foreign organizations. If you are still reading this article don’t you think you might doing a great help for humanity by saying a prayer for the nation of Burundi?

WHY YOU SHOULD PRAY FOR BURUNDI

Actually the Bible instructed that we pray all ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing. This made a mandatory that we should pray when things are going fine and when they are not.
Also, considering the desolated state of things in the nation of Burundi, it is pertinent that we all say a prayer for the nation of Burundi

PRAY FOR THE GOVERNMENT

As Christians or followers of Christ, the scripture made us understand that we should pray for people in authority, whether we like them or not.
More so, the government of Burundi is characterised with low governmental capacity and heavy corruption. There is no gainsaying that Burundi’s economy isn’t strong enough and the resources available is not in abundance. However, poverty, starvation and high rate child mortality has becoming a powerful force to contend with because of bad governance. The little resources that the country have has been shipped away by their leaders.

The scripture made us understand that when a righteous man is in throne, the people rejoice Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. It is audible enough that the government of Burundi needs the help of God.

PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE OF BURUNDI

At times when we read about the rate of abnormalities happening in another country, we can not but ask ourselves that how do the people survive?
If the economy and government of any nation is good enough, the people will enjoy it and if it is in reverse order, the people will pay dearly for it.
The level of poverty in Burundi is bad that it has affected virtually all segment in the country. Meanwhile, poor education or the lack of it is the biggest problem of the people, education has a way of opening the eyes of people.

When there are no adequate education, the people are restricted and incapacitated to do some things. This is actually a fault from the government, but the people suffer the biggest blow of it.
Also, the civil war that broke out in the country from 1993-2005 affected the people badly. Many of the people were forced to migrate to Tanzania while many others were internally displaced.

PRAY FOR THE ECONOMY OF BURUNDI

Consistency has been the biggest problem of Burundi’s economy. Back in 2015, the National income of the country pride itself as the highest in sub-saharan Africa. But in 2016, it expressed a drastic drop making it one of the lowest the region.
It is pertinent to pray for the economy of Burundi. The economy must be able to feed and water fir the needs of the people. Burudians are not lazy but the nature od their economy have made private sector incapacitated. It is quite difficult to successfully set up a company in Burundi due to the economy.
While Praying for the nation of Burundi, let’s all remember the nation’s economy that is almost dead.

PRAY FOR THE CHURCHES IN BURUNDI

There is no doubt that Africans run to the corridor of spirituality when help isn’t coming from those in power. If we’re was anytime the churches in Burundi needs to be steadfast, the time is now.
More and more people will be trooping into the Church daily to seek solace, the church needs to be capacitated both physically and spiritually to meet up. According to reports, the legal system of Burundi is very weak and when can’t get Justice from the branch designed for it, they turn to God.
There needs to be birth of revival that will turn things around in Burundi. This revival wouldn’t start if the church is not prepared for it yet, a revival that will positively affect every affected segment of the Country.

Conclusively, the nation of Burundi needs our prayers as believers. Let’s us all join our faith together and offer a sincere prayer for the nation of Burundi.

15). Father, in the name of Jesus, vent your anger upon all the perpetrators of wanton killings in this nation, as you rain up on all them fire, brimstone and a horrible tempest, thereby granting permanent rest to the citizens of this nation – Psalm. 7:11, Psalm11:5-6

16). Father, in the name of Jesus, we decree the rescue of Burundi from the powers of darkness contending against her destiny – Ephesians. 6:12

17). Father, in the name of Jesus, release your instruments of death and destruction against every agent of the devil set to destroy the glorious destiny of this nation – Psalm 7:13

18). Father, by the blood of Jesus, release your vengeance in the camp of the wicked and restore our lost glory as a nation. -Isaiah 63:4
