Prayer For The Nation Of Sierra Leone

Today we shall be engaging in prayer for the nation of Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone is a small size country in the Western part of the African continent. It is regarded as one of the most under populated countries in Africa with about 6.3 million people. Despite her small size and population, Sierra Leone is hailed for possessing a rich multicultural groups diverse tribes and ethnic group co-existing peacefully in a soverign land.

Good to note, Sierra Leone is blessed with various mineral and natural resources like titanium ore, diamonds, iron ore and many others. However, it would interest you to note that despite all these available mineral resources, the nation of Sierra Leone is still one of the under developed in Africa. The nation has not been able to convert the presence of her rich resources to wealth of the nation.
Judging by all these facts, it is glaring that the situation of things in Sierra Leone is similar to that of Jericho in book of 2 kings 2:19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
There is a need for us all to return to the foundation of the country and add sweetness to it. The only way that can be achieved is through prayers, we will be doing a great work by offering prayers for the nation of Sierra Leone.

WHY YOU SHOULD PRAY FOR SIERRA LEONE

Sierra Leone have low literacy level especially for the girl child. The country is predominantly occupied by the Islamic faithful. Only 35% of the children from age of 15 and above have access to education, which is considered as one of the lowest in Africa.
Also, the health sector in Sierra Leone is nothing to write home about. As at 2009, more than 50,000 people are living with HIV and AIDS and over 3000 death is were recorded. Also, some other diseases and ailments that affect the people of Sierra Leone is Malaria, diarrhoea, Yello fever, Ebola and other life threatening diseases. It appears the nation of Sierra Leone doesn’t have what it takes to save it self from these deadly diseases that has continued to shorten the lives of her citizens. No wonder the life expectancy in Sierra Leone is relatively low because of the lack of health facilities.

PRAY FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF SIERRA LEONE

Wherever things go wrong in a country, the condemnation goes to the government for failing in it duty in governing the nation. However, the scripture adminished us to always pray for the peace of Jerusalem, also, we should learn to pray for our leaders and those in position of authority.
The scripture Proverbs 21:1 “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will”. Instead of condemning the leaders, pray that God should direct their heart and thoughts towards the good of the nation and people.
Also, it is important to pray for a righteous man to get into position of leadership. The scripture Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn”.

PRAY FOR THE CITIZEN

Gal. 3:13-14: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
There is no gainsaying that there is kind of trademark on the people of Sierra Leone. There is a need for a curse to be broken and destroyed. Also, it important that the people of Sierra Leone understands the will of God for them. The Bible says Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. They need to understand the position they are in God, what God has planned for them.

PRAY FOR THE ECONOMY OF SIERRA LEONE

The survival and sustainance of people in any country depends on the strength of the nation’s economy. When the economy of a nation is sick or weak, the people people will suffer dearly for it. This is apparently the major problem of Sierra Leone, the economy of the country is relatively low and not enough to feed the small people of the country.
The prayers of saints truly does a great work. While offering prayers for the nation of Sierra Leone, it is expedient that we remember the nation’s economy.

PRAY FOR THE CHURCH IN SIERRA LEONE

Statistically, the nation of Sierra Leone is dominantly occupied by the Islamic faithful. Meanwhile the great commandment Christ gave in book of Mathew 28:19-20 St. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen”. The Churches in Sierra Leone needs to rise and spread the tentacles of the gospel of Christ to the outter most part of the country. The mental and spiritual slavery of the people must be blotted out by the fire of revival.All these can only happen when the Churches in Sierra Leone rise to their feet and take their rightful position. The firebrand revival must be birthed out from the few churches and Christians in the church until it spreads to all parts kf the country.

Conclusively, our prayer for the nation of Sierra Leone will bring about the changes that we never expected could happen naturally. Our prayers will birth the Sierra Leone of our dreams. There is no better time to start saying a prayer for the nation of Sierra Leone than now!!!

13). Father, in the name of Jesus, let every gang up against the continuous growth and expansion of the church of Christ in Sierra Leone be crushed permanently – Matthew. 21:42

14). Father, in the name of Jesus, let the wickedness of the wicked against this nation come to an end even as we pray now – Psalm. 7:9

15). Father, in the name of Jesus, vent your anger upon all the perpetrators of wanton killings in this nation, as you rain up on all them fire, brimstone and a horrible tempest, thereby granting permanent rest to the citizens of this nation – Psalm. 7:11, Psalm11:5-6

16). Father, in the name of Jesus, we decree the rescue of Sierra Leone from the powers of darkness contending against her destiny – Ephesians. 6:12

17). Father, in the name of Jesus, release your instruments of death and destruction against every agent of the devil set to destroy the glorious destiny of this nation – Psalm 7:13

18). Father, by the blood of Jesus, release your vengeance in the camp of the wicked and restore our lost glory as a nation. -Isaiah 63:4

44). Father, in the name of Jesus, let the fear of God saturate the length and breadth of this nation, thereby removing shame and reproach from our nations – Isaiah. 32:15-16

45). Father, in the name of Jesus, turn your hand against the adversaries of this nation, that are blocking the way forward to our economic growth and development as a nation – Psalm. 7:11,Proverbs 29:2

46). Father, in the name of Jesus, supernaturally restore the economy of this nation and let this land be filled with laughter again – Joel 2:25-26

47). Father, in the name of Jesus, bring an end to the economic woes of this nation thereby restoring her past glory – Proverbs 3:16

56). Father, in the name of Jesus. let the 2022 elections in Sierra Leone be free and fair and let it be void of election violence all through – Job 34:29

57). Father, in the name of Jesus, scatter every agenda of the devil to frustrate the electoral process in the forthcoming elections in Sierra Leone- Isaiah 8:9

58). Father, in the name of Jesus, we decree the destruction of every device of evil men to manipulate the 2022 elections in Sierra Leone-Job 5:12

59). Father, in the name of Jesus, let there be hitch-free operations all through 2022 electoral process, thereby ensuring peace in the land- Ezekiel. 34:25
