5 Prayer Points To Pray For Nigeria

Today we will be dealing with 5 prayer points for Nigeria. In recent times, we have been faced with a lot of vices in the Country that is enough to weaken our faith in the country itself, but we should also realize that as bad as it seems, it can only get better when there are efforts in the spirit here and there. A man of God said, “Complaining only complicates matters” Let’s admonish ourselves in the Lord, looking unto Jesus, who is able to help us, because He alone has been our help thus far.

We cannot rely on ourselves, no external forces neither can we rely on our leaders. We have a God who is dependable and ever reliable. He is too faithful to fail. If we have lost anything, He is the reason we have not lost everything. For these reasons and more, we should commit our nation Nigeria into the hands of God. We commit him to take charge, to grant us Peace, Progress, Stability and Unity. We also commit our leaders into the hands of God that they submit to His will and leadership.

Psa. 27:6 “That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works”

Psa. 69:30, “I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving”

1. PRAYER POINTS

• Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for your hand on our nation, thank you for the help we have seen thus far, we give you praise and Glory in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

• Heavenly Father, we give you thanks and praise for your grace upon us, in spite of everything, you remain our God, blessed be your name Lord in Jesus name.

2. PRAYER OF HELP

• Psa. 27: 9 ‘Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: neither forsake me, o God of my salvation.’ Heavenly Father we come before your throne, we ask for your help, Heavenly Father, in our nation Nigeria, help us Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Oh Lord our help, help our leaders, help everyone in the helm of power, and help us to help one another in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Father in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask for your mercy Lord in the name of Jesus, Lord do not forsake us, help us, shower your mercy on us in Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ.

3. PRAYER OF PEACE

• Psa. 122: 6-7 say, ‘Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem; they shall prosper that love thee”. Father in the name of Jesus Christ, we commit our nation Nigeria into your hands, daddy, we declare peace in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Heavenly Father, calm every storm in our country Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Father Lord we pray for peace and tranquility in all the 36 states of Nigeria in the name of Jesus.
• Psa. 147: 14 says, ‘He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat’. Lord we speak calmness to every troubled state in Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ.
• We declare the peace of God within our borders, in every state, Peace in every town, Peace in every neighborhood and household in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Father in the name of Jesus, every power of hell working against the peace and calmness of our country Nigeria, we destroy them by your power Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Every gathering, party or association working against the peace of this nation Nigeria, Lord, cause confusion in their midst and render their works useless in the name of Jesus.

4. PRAYER OF UNITY

• Psa. 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity” Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for unity in Nigeria, in every state, Lord cause your unity to reign among us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
• One of the enemies of unity is division, we have so much division in Nigeria and it can only be broken in the place of the spirit. The Corinthian church was divided and this was dealt with in the letters of Apostle Paul, who was always praying for the church. Father in the name of Jesus, every seed of division causing disunity in our midst, they are uprooted in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Father in the name of Jesus, every agent of discord slowing down our unity as a nation, Lord set confusion in their midst and let such gatherings be scattered in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

5. PRAYER FOR OUR LEADERS

• According to 1 Tim. 2:1-3, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour” Father in the name of Jesus, we call upon you; help our leaders to lead us well in Jesus name.
• Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for wisdom for our leaders, wisdom for the right decisions, wisdom for great impact on the people, wisdom for productive administration in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
• Psa. 33:10-11 “The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.” Father we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, you work through our leaders so that your plans and purposes alone come you pass in our land in the name of Jesus.
• Psa. 72:11 “Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.” Lord we ask that our leaders submit themselves to your leadership and authority; they bow in sovereignty of you in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Prov. 11:14, “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety”
• Father, we pray for the Spirit of counsel on every official at the helm of power, help them to submit to your will and your guidance at all times, they see you in all they do, their conscience is fully submitted to you for sensitivity in the name of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER FOR ECONOMIC STABILITY

• Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for a stable economy, empower us to do the right thing at every level we find ourselves, help us against greed towards one another, help us against selfishness in the name of Jesus.
• Lord we pray that you help our Leaders to make the right decision and put positive policies in place so as to help our economy in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Father, put an end to economic recession in Nigeria, cause our nation to blossom and flourish, cause our hands to prosper that we might experience progress in our individual lives  in the name of Jesus Christ.
• In the name of Jesus, we speak progress; we speak stability and prosperity in our economy, Lord, by your power in Jesus name.
