Today we shall be engaging in prayer for the nation of Seychelles Seychelles is located in the archipelago in the Indian ocean, northeast of the territory of Madagascar. The country is unarguably the smallest in Africa. Having gained her independence from the British empire in 1976, the country used to practice a single-party system, until 1993 when free election was carried out which out an abrupt end to a single party system.

Seychelles practise Unitary presidential republic whereby the head of state is also the head of government. A system of government which is considered unfashionable for this new millennials. Meanwhile, the system of government is not the problem that the nation of Seychelles have presently, the country is confronted with another demon.
It would interest you to know that Seychelles is one of the most visited places in Africa. The country pride herself among others for possessing quite a number of tourists attraction sites. Tourism has been one of the biggest sources of revenue for the nation of Seychelles, also, the major export of the country is fish.

According to recent reports provided by the National Bureau of Statistics, poverty level in Seychelles was rated 39.3% as at 2013. This shows that quite a number of the population are living in abject poverty. This is happening because wealth is not evenly distributed among people, inequality has been the order of the day.
We all need to say a prayer for the nation of Seychelles because of the majority who do not share in the nation’s wealth.

WHY YOU SHOULD PRAY FOR THE NATION OF SEYCHELLES

It appears the wealth of Seychelles is in the hands of strong man. The wealth and success of that nation needs to be freed or seized from the strong man of the economy, who is diverting the treasury into his personal pocket impoverish thousands of the citizens.The devil his agents have a prison where they keep the blessings of the people who refuse to exercise their God-given rights or who are ignorant of what is rightfully theirs in Christ. The devil is given a foothold when we sin. The scripture says Matthew 12:29: “Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strongman? and then he will spoil his house.” The sin and iniquity of the people has dumped them into the prison of a strong man. And the devil would not come unless to steal, to kill and to destroy according to John 10:10

PRAY FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF SEYCHELLES

Seychelles operates a Unitarian system of government whereby the head of state is also the head of government. He serves as the executive head and one of the legislative body. Many political analyst believes that this system of government is weak and not unfashionable. Nevertheless, it is important to say a prayer for the government of Seychelles. The scripture in the book of Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. The people rejoice and prosper exceedingly when the righteous are in power, but when a wicked man is in power, the people mourn greatly.

PRAY FOR THE ECONOMY OF SEYCHELLES

The economy of a nation is the yardstick in which the success of of the people would be built upon. Seychelles economy is built mainly on tourism and fishing, the country boast of having the highest GDP per capita ($15,476) in Africa an economy focused mainly on tourism and fishing in 2015. However, poverty is still heavily plunged unto the back of most citizens of the country. While saying a prayer for the nation od Seychelles, it is important to remember her economy. The spiritual growth blocking the supernatural miracle of the economy needs to be broken. The book of psalm97:5: “The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.” The presence of God Almighty needs to encompass the economy of Seychelles.

PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE OF SEYCHELLES

The great people of Seychelles needs the help of God. An hungry man is an angry fellow, when hunger and poverty becomes a formidable force in any nation, rebellion and defiant behaviours becomes permissible. Ps. 34:10: The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. This promise of God has not become a reality yet in the lives of the people in Seychelles, the chain of slavery, hunger, starvation and poverty needs to be broken.

PRAY FOR THE CHURCH

Matt. 16:18: And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. There is a great need to pray for the churches in Seychelles that the gate if hell must not prevail over the church of God. 2 Timothy 4:s: “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an Evangelist, make full proof of your Ministry.” The afflictions in Seychelles is becoming rather unbearable for people, the church if God needs to hold their ground, else, the worst might happen.

This is a call to us all, while saying a prayer for the nation of Seychelles, remember the churches. They sure needs the strength of God to scale through this trying moments.
