Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

For the purpose of emphasis, and to uniformly translate knowledge, it is best to start this article with the dictionary meaning and general meaning of hope.
According to the Webster Dictionary of English, Hope is defined as a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen. Generally, Hope is the ability to maintain an optimistic mind even when all odds are against the best happening. Hope is a driving force that keeps humans going when all is not well.
Over time, people have sometimes mistaken hope for faith and vice versa. For the purpose of this article, we will explain Hope And Faith, the similarities and differences between them.

It is pertinent to note that the two (Hope and Faith) are inseparable for the spiritual growth of any individual. Hebrews 11:11 defines Faith as evidence of things hoped for, the substance of things not seen. It is therefore important that a man must exhibit those two qualities.
While Faith is confidence or trust in a person or thing or a belief not based on proof and Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation or desire. We can see that the duo goes hand in hand in every journey in Life.
The slight difference between them is that Faith speaks of the moment while Hope speaks of the future.

Why is it important to always say a prayer for hope?

Faith happens when a man believes something above the ordinary can happen even at the slightest moment when all hope is gone. Mind you, Faith requires trust in something at a particular time. Hope on the other hand is an optimistic feeling that the best is yet to come. That conviction in the heart even without hearing any prophecy or seeing any vision, that assurance that all will be well at the very end.We must pray the prayer of hope because hope sustains our faith.

Many times, hope could be the driving force that keeps a man alive. In a world full of torments and different vices of the enemy to wane labor of an individual, hope for a better tomorrow could just be the saving grace that an individual could lean upon. Even when the faith of a man has suffered disappointment, hope is the only thing that a man can have.

Prayer For Hope

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Lord God in you do we rejoice, in the strength of your salvation do we hold onto, never leave us to be tormented. When the storm of life rage at us, when the road trudging seems uphills when all the promises that you made for us fail to come into fulfillment, even when we want to smile to pretend that all is well but all we could do is sigh deeply. Lord, please give us the strength to never lose out hope in you.

To you and you alone we do rely upon our hope, we stand upon your word, we rely solely on the blood that was shed for our sake, never allow us to be shamed.

Even in the time of sickness, when all diagnoses of medical practitioners seem to be against us when all the prophecies of better health were all gone unfulfilled. When we even break the communion for healing, when we see the cross oozing with blood like the savior had just been slain for our sake and yet healing is far away from us. Lord, we ask that you give us the Grace to always hope in you, that you are still capable of restoring our health.

And even when all seem to have ended and yet healing fails to come, and yet we see ourselves go through that road the dead only walk, please give us the Grace to always hope in your salvation of Glory.

If the world is bitter like this and there is rest in heaven, then the hope of we the believers have been out to shame. We that you our heavenly father for giving us Christ Jesus that brought Grace for us when we do not deserve it, thank for shedding His blood that brought a hope of a better world beyond.
Just like the scripture says in book of Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. How do we believe in all these when we have lost the hope of our salvation in your son Christ Jesus.

Grant us the grace to be strong in face of trouble, give us the strength to ride on. At that time, when it is like the promise of everlasting life has been dashed against the rock, when we seem to have lost all it takes to be called your own, the people saved by the precious blood of your son Christ Jesus. Give us the Grace to still hope in Your Mercy. A man will lose every sense of belonging with you on the day that his hope in you dies, help us maintain our hope in you that even if we die here on earth, we are assured a better place in the world beyond.
The things of the cross are foolishness to those that will perish, yes Lord! we have not seen you, but we have a feeling that you exist and we believe so much in the power that created heaven and earth. Grant us the strength to never for once lose our hope in you. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
