Today we shall be looking at bible verses about fathers. Our Parents are like a demigod unto us, from our first life cry, they are in charge of ensuring that we make the right decision. That explains the fact why God instructed parents to train their children in the way of the Lord so that when they grow, they won’t depart from it.
The generation of humans began with the creation of the fathers. God created Adam first and place everything else that was created under his supervision. Just like a new generation can inherit the blessings from their father, so can they also be cursed to damnation from their father. Jacob took the blessings of Isaac, and Reuben, the first child of Jacob, was cursed by Jacob. The position that God placed the Father is a very high one, and the destiny of a child and the family at large lies in the hands of the father.

Christ likens the family to the was God deal with men, God loves us as our heavenly father; he cares for us, despite all our atrocities and unfaithfulness, God never stops forgiving us. So also, our earthly fathers. It would interest you to know that even God respects the office of the fathers, little wonder father are the protector of the family; they are the provider. Fathers are the high priests and Prophets; they should hear first from God and negotiate with God on behalf of their families. They make crucial decisions for the family when needed.
Have you forgotten a portion of the scripture where Joshua decided for his children and the entire generation? Joshua 24:15 And if it seems evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. This depicts that the decision of the father can make or unmake the family.
Also, talking about the blessings of the father, the entire human race is a perfect example of that; how we took the blessings of Father Abraham because we are descendants. Finally talking about how Father acts in the office of a priest and prophet, Abraham is a good example. Remember when God was going to destroy the city of Sodom and Gomorah, Abraham negotiated with God because of his kinsman, Lot, that was living in the city. Abraham stood between God and the city of Sodom and Gomorah.
