Prayers For The Christian Community

Today we will be engaging in prayers for the Christian community. The enemy is not targeting the church building, neither will it attack the land on which the church is built. What the enemy will attack is the people, the congregation of saints. The battle against the Christian community did not just start today. It has been in existence since the time of Christ.

The Jews did everything possible to ensure that the light of the gospel doesn’t spread abroad. Even when the apostles took the mantle after the death and ressurection of Christ, they all faced tedious situations from prosecutor. In our present day lives as Christians, we may not be thrown into hot oil like John but one way or the other, our faith is been tested through other means.

Meanwhile, we must understand that we are the light of the gospel. If the gospel will thrive beyond this present level, the onus is on us. This is why it is important to pray for the Christian community. Also, there are thousands of believers who dare not declare their faith publicly in some certain places. The darkness in that territory is so terrifying that most believers can’t freely live anymore. Meanwhile, Christ stated that we go into the world and make discipleship of all nations, baptize them in the name of the father, son and the Holy Ghost. We should also teach them how to observe all the things that were commanded.

To understand the importance of this prayer, let’s quickly highlight some of the reasons you must pray for the Christian community.

Why You Must Pray For the Christian Community

For Protection Upon Them

As stated earlier, there are many Christians whose life has been greatly tormented by the enemy. In Nigeria for instance, there are places where Christians must not been seen or heard preaching the gospel. Some have been killed while others are crippled for life merely because they preached the gospel.

Our prayer for the Christian community regardless of our location, tribe or ethnic group will go a long way in ensuring that the protection of God is upon them and us all.

For Steadfastness

The scripture says let he that thinks he stand take heed less he falls. When Christ was still with the apostles, he asked Peter if he would still meet faith in the world when he returns. Apostle Peter was swift to give response that yes. He could not see what Christ was seeing that made him ask that question.

In life there are so many things that can cause a standing Christian to fall. Our prayer will be for grace and strength for us all to keep on with Christ until we take out last breath.

To Birth Revival

The great revival has started. It is up to the Christian community to ignite the fire so it can spread abroad. The enemy has continued to shoot its evil across into the church. However, when the fire of revival is born, there will be no place for the devil anymore.

It is, however, important to know that God will not descend from heaven the angels to start the great revival, it is the community of believers, the congregation of saints, the assembly of those that thirst for the lord that God will use. Until the revival start, we won’t stop having lukewarm Christian, people who will born for Christ today and tomorrow they are doing another thing.

The scripture says the effectual prayer of the righteous availeth much. When we lift our voices to God, the fire of revival will be born and it will spread abroad.

I decree by the power of the most High, that the fire of revival will begin to burn in the name of Jesus. Across all states, regions and cities, let the fire of revival begin to burn in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Points

• Lord Jesus, I thank you for this grace. I magnify you because you are God. I thank you for your favour, your mercy and the gift of your son Jesus Christ. I thank you for the precious blood of Christ that was shed on the cross of Calvary for our sake, let your name be exalted in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, I pray for all Christians in the Bitterroot valley of darkness. I pray that your light of protection will shine upon them in the name of Jesus. 
• I decree by the authority of heaven, every Christian, every believer of Christ, struggling with territorial powers, I decree spiritual help come for them in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord Jesus, I pray for strength for all believers. The grace for them to carry on without weary. The grace to keep standing regardless of the horrible situation around them, I pray that you grant it upon them in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, I intercede for all believers in war prevalent areas, I pray that you shall protect them in the name of Jesus. I pray that your mark will be upon them in the name of Jesus. For it has been written, I carry the mark of Christ, let no man trouble me. I decree in the name of Jesus, let no harm come upon them in the name of Jesus. 
• I pray for every believer who have left their family to go into a strange land to spread the gospel. The scripture says touch not my annointed and do my prophet no harm. I decree that you hands will be upon them in the name of Jesus. 
• Father Lord, I pray that you will prepare every believer for the great revival that is come. Lord Jesus, I pray by your mercy, let it not catch us unprepared in the name of Jesus. I seek for grace to remaining standing in your presence, Lord release it upon us all in the name of Jesus. 
• I pray for unity among believers. Regardless of our culture, language or religion, we have been made family through the blood of Christ. Lord Jesus, I pray that your love will continue to dwell in our hearts in the name of Jesus. The grace for us to look beyond the doctrine of our local church, the grace for us to come together as one fold, one church, one baptism, I pray that you will grant us in the name of Jesus.
