Today we will be dealing with prayer points to know and Surrender to the will of God. The book of Isaiah 55:8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. Man always have plans for his life and in most cases, he don’t care about the plan of God for his life. It is important that we know the thought of God concerning our lives. If we must succeed and do great exploit, we must know the Will of God for our lives.

Often than not, we contend with God. Man loves to dominate, he always wants to be in control of things and would always want things to be done in his way. Let’s take the life of Jonah for example. God ordered him to go on an assignment and he refused to do it. The end of the story is a farmiliar history. When we fail to do the will of God, things will go the hard way. The life of the Isrealites was a typical example. The will of the father for them is to be freed from captivity do they can serve Him. However, when the Isrealites were freed from captivity, they were swift to return to their idols. In punishment of that, they were made to travel for forty years.

For we to understand how to pray well, let’s quickly highlight some of the things that happens when we refuse to surrender to the will of the father.

Dangers of not Surrendering to the Will of God

It Hinders Fulfilment of Blessing

For every instructions, there are lots of blessings attached to it. When we fail to submit ourselves to the will of God, there are numerous blessings that would be hindered.

It Gives The Devil Power over Us

When man fails to know and surrender to the will of the father, it gives the devil power to torment us. God is the author of our lives, until we surrender the wheel of our life to Him, we will be badly tormented by the enemy.

It Slows the Journey to Success 

The scripture says the way of the lord is not same with ours. Most times, we love to do things in our way. Meanwhile, the scripture says I know the thoughts that I have towards you, they are the thought of good and not of evil to give you an expected end. Getting to that expected end is the problem that man has. He will always want to get to that end using his own formula. Whereas, God has His plans too. When a man refuses to allow God be God over his life, his journey to success will be slower than expected.

How To Know The Will of God

One problem young christians experience is knowing the will of God for their lives. How do you surrender to God’s Will when you have no idea of His plans for your life? We will highlight few ways through which one can identify the will of God for his life.

Through the Holy Ghost

The power of the Holy Ghost can not be overemphasized. The scripture makes us understand that the Holy Spirit Will teach us things we do not know and tell.us of things to come. Meanwhile, the plan of God is the mind of God for ones life. Also, we must understand that the Holy Spirit is a version of God in man. The best way a man can know the mind of shot got his life is through the power of the holy ghost.

The holy spirit will teach us and let us know what God is saying per time.

Through the Word of God

Another way through which we can know the will of God is by studying the word of God. When we study the word of God, there are interpretations that follows via the power of the holy spirit. There are so many plans God have for us that are imbedded in the scripture.

When we study the word of God, the holy spirit will unlock some promises of God for our life. When we submit to this will, things will change drastically for us.

• Lord Jesus, I thank you for the grace to witness this day. I thank you for the gift of life that you bestowed on me to witness this day, let your name be exalted in the name of Jesus.
• Lord Jesus, I pray for the grace to surrender to your will and purpose. Father Lord, grant me the grace to understand you when you speak. Grant me the grace to know your will and purpose for my life.
• Lord Jesus, I pray that you will inspire my inner man to understand what you have in store for me. I refuse to do things based on my mortal knowledge. I pray that you will lead me into prosperity in the name of Jesus.
• Father Lord, I pray for the grace to follow your instructions. The Bible has made me understand that obedience is better than sacrifice. Lord I want to obey you in all ramifications. I surrender the will of my life to you in the name of Jesus.
• Lord Jesus, I break every barrier between you and I. Everything that hinders the free flow of communication between us is broken today in the name of Jesus.
• I refuse to do things on myself. I want you to guide me Lord Jesus. I pray that your holy spirit will teach me your ways in the name of Jesus.
• I pray that your holy spirit will teach me your Will for my life. I pray that even when I pick the Bible to study, you will reveal to me your plans for my life in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, I pray that you will make my life your home. I pray that you will make everything that I have your own. Search me Lord, everything that won’t allow me surrender to your Will, Lord destroy it in the name of Jesus.
