Today we will be dealing with prayer points for renewed mind. What do you understand by the word renewed mind? A renewed mind means is someone that has been transformed from evil to good. When a man gives his life to Christ, old things are passed away and everything has become new.

Apostle Paul had a renewed mind after his encounter with Christ on his way to Damascus. Paul was known as one of the greatest prosecutor of Christians. He had a brainwashed mind as a scholar, however, when he had an encounter with Christ, his life tool a new turn. He changed from evil to good. When a man gives his life to Christ and he refuse to have a renewed mind, it is only a matter of time before he return to his old life.

How To Have A Renewed Mind

Call God For Help

As a new Christian, you must understand that you can’t do anything all by yourself. Help comes from God the giver of life. Being a Christian doesn’t eradicate the temptation of the devil. As a matter of fact, this is when the devil will throw lots of jabs at you. Until you have a renewed mind, you might find it difficult to counter the temptation of the enemy.

You must ensure to talk to God for help. Tell God to take over your life, your thought and mind. The scripture says from the abundance of the heart the mouth speak. The mind controls virtually everything in the body. Beg God for help. There is a place of building up, any believer who refuse to build themselves, they will be overwhelmed by the devil.

Study The Word of God

Another way to have a renewed mind is by studying the word of God. The scripture carries the promises of God and the daily manual for everyday life of a believer. From studying the word of, a believer get to know God even better.

You will get to understand why you used to behave in some certain ways and the way you should behave since you gave your life to Christ. Apostle Paul didn’t meet Christ on earth, but he gave himself to thorough learning by studying the life pattern of Christ through the scripture. Little wonder, he said that I may know him and the power of his ressurection. When we study the scripture, we get to know Christ more and by doing this, we begin to adopt new godly character.

Help of Holy Ghost

The scripture makes us understand that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. There is always a struggle between the flesh and the spirit when it come to doing things of the spirit. That’s why it is important to call for the help of the holy ghost. The scripture says, if the power that raised Christ from the dwells in you, it will quicken your mortal body.

For us to have a renewed mind, there must be a quickening of our mortal body. The mortal body must be subdued for the spirit of God to have a place in our life. When the spirit of the Lord comes upon us, there is consciousness in our mind that helps shape our mind towards doing what is right.

Identify That You Belong To Christ

First, you must understand that you now belong to Christ and not the word anymore. You know the things of the world are not obtainable in the heavenly pursuit. So, first, identify that you belong to Christ.

Tell Christ to help you identify the deceit of the enemy. There are times that the enemy will make things look like they are from God. However, when you have prayed to God for help, the spirit of discernment will help you identify which one is from God. Meanwhile, you must leave and submit yourself fully to the leading of the holy spirit. Submit yourself to tutorship of the holy ghost.

Prayer Points

• Father Lord, I thank you for grace that has called out of darkness into the marvelous light of Christ. I thank you for thus rare privilege of your son’s death on the cross of Calvary. I magnify you for this, Lord, let your name be exalted in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord Jesus, I pray for the grace to remain standing in the presence of God. I pray for the spirit of Steadfastness, the grace to remain standing until your second coming, Lord grant it to me in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord Jesus, I pray that you will help shape my mind towards pursuing things of heaven. I refuse to be subject to sin anymore in the name of Jesus. 
• Father Lord, the scripture says from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Lord I pray that you will help guide my hear with all deligence. Help me build my mind towards the things of heaven in the name of Jesus. 
• God, the scripture has made me understand that it is for Freedom that Christ has set me free, I should remain standing and never be a slave to sin no more. Lord, I pray that by your mercy, you will help me overcome every evil temptation in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord Jesus, I pray that you will help me polish my mind. I pray for the spirit of discernment. I seek the grace to identify the manipulations of the enemy, Lord grant me this in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord Jesus, I pray for the presence of the holy spirit in my thought formation. The scripture says he that is in Christ is a new creature and old things have passed away. Lord Jesus, I want my thoughts to be shapen to be in alignment to the will of God in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord Jesus, just like you changed the my and thought of Apostle Paul after his encounter with you, Lord I pray that you will renew my thoughts in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, I pray that when I study the scripture, Lord let me find you. When I need spiritual leading Lord let me find one. As I will be studying the scripture from today, let it have an impact on my mind in the name of Jesus.
