Today we will be dealing with 10 Bible verses to pray when you are heart broken. Before we start, let’s take quick look at what heartbreak means. Heart brokeness is a wrong state of mind that could be caused by dissappointment, failure, rejection and so many others. When a man is heartbroken, he doesn’t feel like anything can fix it. However, regardless of how deep the heartbreak is, God’s word is always there to heal the wound.
Although the pain may not end the following minute after you read the word, however, with time it will get better and your mind will be at ease like the pain was never there. We will highlight ten Bible verses that can help when you going through heart break.

Jeremiah 29:11
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’’
Whenever you are heartbroken because things are not working the way you have planned it. Things might be going very smooth for other people and yet, you are struggling to get things done for yourself. Something like this can lead to fraustration. If you are sad because you can account for any good thing that has happened in your life, this is the best time to use the book of Jeremiah 29:11.
This bible passage avails us with the information that we need that God has a plan for us. It says for I know the plans I have towards you, they are the thoughts of good and not of evil to give you an expected end. So when things are not working, when all odds are against you, always know that the plan of God will stand and when the time comes, He will make everything beautiful.
Philippians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
There is level of courage and assurance that we get from taking our matters to God especially in prayer. The scripture urge us in this passage not to be worry for nothing but in everything through supplications, prayers and thanksgivings, we should make our request known unto God.
When we commit our problems into the hands of the lord, he will lead and guide us. Most importantly, God will comfort us and grant us strength to face our challenges.
Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
The best time to use this Bible passage is when you are weary. There times in our lives that we will be confronted with dangerous situations that would cause us to become weary. It might be so tasking that the burden will weigh us down that our face will not smile no more.
This often happen when one have too much confounding problems simultaneously. When troubles look like it won’t end, when solution to problem become the hardest thing to find, seek refuge with the Lord by studying this Bible passage.
2 Corinthians 4:8-10 “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.”
This is a Bible passage to read when life shows us its hard side. When it seems nothing else is working. When it seems God is not even near to listen to our prayers. Even when we are sick or going through pains.
2 Corinthians 4:8-10 talks about we carrying the body of Christ. This means although we are crushed but not destroyed, although sorrow and pain may last till the night, but joy will surely come in the morning.
Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Are you crying because of a particular situation? Have you been dissappointed by the person you love you just lost the person you love dearly. Even if you are scared of losing the person you care and cherish to the cold hands of death, this is the time to seek strength from the word of God.
The book of revelation 21:4 reveals that God will wipe away every tears from our faces. There will be no more death or mourning. This is an assurance that we have in the Lord.
Psalm 46:1-2 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.”
Psalm 46:1-2 is one of the best passage to read for strength in difficult situations. When you need help badly over a particular challenges, the scripture says God is our present help in moment of need.
Why should you be scared of the terror that fly by night when you have a God that has the power to protect you? Trust in the Lord and He will protect you from all evil. He will wipe tears out of your face completely.
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Whenever we are heart broken, we should rely on the word of God to heal us. The word of God has the promises of God that will help us overcome any dangerous situations. It has the assurance of God.
Psalm 147: 3 the scripture makes us understand that God heals the brokenhearted. Remember the scripture says Christ has bear upon himself all our infirmities and he has healed all our diseases.
Psalm 71:20 “Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.”
If you need an assurance that the defeated sun will rise again, study this passage of the Bible. Psalm 71:20 says although you have been bitten by tribulations and hardship, you will rise again. Laughter and joy will be restored to you.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good for those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Whenever you need an assurance that things will get better at the end, read Romans 8:28. We know that even in suffering and tribulations, God is ever faithful.
Isaiah 43:18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”
This is a Bible passage that will help one move on quickly after experiencing tough time. The scripture says in the book of Isaiah 43:18 forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. When we dwell on the bad things that has happened to us in past will only escalate issues and prevent solution from coming.
The scripture admonish that we try to forget things of the past and not dwell in them anymore.
