Today we will be dealing with prayer points for an adulterous husband. Adultery is a great sin before God. The Bible recorded in the book of Exodus 20:14 You shall not commit adultery. This was one of the commandments God gave to Moses. God practically instructed Moses to tell the people to desist from Adultery. There is always a punishment for people that indulged in adultery.

Sexual immorality is one of the most severe sins before God. The book of Hebrews 13:14 Let marriage be held in honor among all and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. Let’s take into account the life of King David. Trouble started for the great king of Isreal when he laid with the wife of his servant, and a seed was conceived from the adulterous act. David didn’t just stop at that. He went ahead to make a plot that will take out Uriah to have Bathsheba to himself.

He, however, didn’t know that God desists evil, and He has a way of punishing the evil act of men. Bathsheba gave birth, and the child died. The evil seed was taken away. This practically explains to us that nothing good will come out of adultery.

3 Reasons Must Pray For Your Adulterous Husband

You don’t have to keep fighting your adulterous husband. Fighting or reporting him to few persons that matters won’t change him from that act. And if care is not taken, he is already on the path to damnation. It is vital to pray for your husband due to the following reasons:

The two of you are one

Genesis 2:24: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

Although it is your husband that is indulging in this treacherous act, however, the consequences of his actions are not for him alone to bear. There is a supernatural kind of covenant that gains power when a man and woman get married. It is the covenant of oneness, the covenant of togetherness. Whatever happens to him will directly or indirectly affect you, and it won’t end at that; it will significantly affect the children.

Because you love him

Romans 13:8: Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.

Another reason you must pray for your adulterous husband is that you love him. Regardless of the pit the devil has thrown him into, he is still your husband, and the two of you are together as one. Love supersedes judgment. It always leads above wrath or vengeance.

The day you accept to be his wife, you accepted to be his intercessor. You are not expected to give up on him. Pray for him because you love him.

The consequence will affect your children

Sexual immorality is one of the fastest breakers of homes. When the home is broken, it affects the children. If you allow the devil to destroy your home, your kids will suffer the brunt of a broken family. You have to take back your family from the hands of the devil. It is your duty not to allow the enemy to break your home; else, your children will suffer it.

Prayer Points:

• Lord, I know that my husband has been having secret affairs with other women, and this has caused a broken heart for me. Gracious God, I ask you to mend my broken heart and grant me the grace not to give up on him. I refuse to allow the devil to win his soul. I pray that you will cause him to have a revelation of the consequences of his action. I pray that your holy spirit that quickens mortal body will give him the strength to overcome the temptations of adultery in the name of Jesus.
• Father of mercy, your word says he that find a wife find a good thing and obtain favor from God. I pray that your power will help bring my husband home. I ask that the mightiness of your Will will drive him home so he can obtain favor from you. The spirit of God, I ask that you will reignite the blissful covenant that existed between my husband and me on the day we were joined together as one. I ask that you will help him to fulfill his vows in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, as you have joined us together to become one body, I offer a prayer based on that covenant. I ask that you will not allow my husband to have rest, take away sleep from his eyes and his immoral partner. Until he changes and he returns home, do not let him have peace of mind. I decree that a great restlessness will come upon him. Until he returns to his senses and comes back home to his better half, let him not have peace of mind. This I ask in the name of Jesus.
• Father Lord, I pray for divine intervention in this matter that troubles the peace of my marriage. The scripture says what the Lord has joined together; let no man put asunder. I refuse to bow to the pain and heartbrokenness caused by an unfaithful husband. I ask that you will intervene in this matter and bring my list husband home. I ask for the grace to forgive him when he returns.
• Lord, I come against every demon that is against our togetherness as husband and wife. I rebuke the power of the enemy over this union today in the name of Jesus. I decree freedom for my husband from the power of sexual immorality that has taken over him. I ask that by the authority of heaven, he is free today in the name of Jesus.
