Today we will be talking about POWERFUL PRAYERS TO OVERCOME SELF STIMULATION

Self stimulation is the stimulation of one’s own genitals for sexual pleasure; masturbation. It is also referred to as self-abuse. A type of masturbation, onanism. manual stimulation of the genital organs (of yourself or another) for sexual pleasure. According to American Psychological Association dictionary,it defines self stimulation as the act or process of inducing or increasing the level of arousal in oneself. It can be observed in various situations; for example, infants who are under stimulated may explore their surroundings or babble to themselves. Is self stimulation God’s will for our lives ?. It is said that God created human in pairs for Intimacy and fruitfulness. Some examples of self stimulation are masturbation,onanism, manual stimulation of the genital organs.

What does God says about self stimulation?
In Genesis 38vs 8-10, we read about the story of Onan who was told to sleep with His widowed sister in law but refused on the ground that the descendants will not be his own so whenever he slept with her he pours out the seed and won’t be able to fertilize the sister in law’s egg. The roman catholic church still condemns this act as a sin, but we know that there’s no place in the bible that masturbation was condemned by God. But still there are some works of the flesh that kills our spiritual mind and takes us far away from God.
If we have been indulging in self stimulation we should pray to God to help us stop with the habit and fill us with the holy spirit that is powerful and capable of taking over our mind and our soul and stop us from indulging what is against God’s will.

Masturbation is the experience of sexual orgasm produced by self-stimulation for sexual arousal and pleasure.
Some bible verses about self stimulation,( though there are no clear places in the bible where masturbation was pointed out as a sin)

1 Thessalonians 4:3-6 says, “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified; that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God.”

Proverbs 25:28 says, “A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.

But where in the Bible does it point to masturbation as a sin? Well, it doesn’t. The closest we can come, in that context, is sexual immorality and lust.

As a Christian if we have been indulging in this act and we want to renounce our old ways and give our body ,soul and spirit totally back to God,let’s pray the prayers below and give out 100% focus back to God

Firstly, renounce your old ways and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour.

1. Lord Jesus I ask your forgiveness for my sins of masturbation and using pornography. I confess my sins and I turn away from them. I’m sincerely sorry Jesu, I come before you with a heart full of remorse and repentance
2. I need your help lord Jesus, I want to stop this habit of self stimulation,.it is affecting my walk with you, it is taking me far away From you, it is dimming my spiritual eyes and mind. Save me lord Jesus and cleanse me away from my Iniquities
3. I have tried quitting by myself countless times but it’s not working, I keep finding myself doing what I hate to do again. I want to keep my body which is your temple holy ,I need your help and guidance lord Jesus.
4. Everytime I tried to stop watching pornography, I find myself going deeper which is to my own disappointment. I keep going back to watching pornography and masturbating, and the more I do it, the more I’m trapped in the act, and in shame , I need your help to quit , help me Lord and cast me not away from your presence
5. Galatians 5:16 – I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Help me to be filled with the holy spirit so that I can have self control and not lust after the flesh.
6. Take away from me any form of immoral and ungodly thoughts.
7. Fill me and restore your Holy Spirit to me.
8. Let your blood of Jesus cleanse me and purify me and renew my conscience.
9. Set me free from guilt and shame.
10. Give me a new identity in Christ, in the name of Jesus Christ.
11. Help me to overcome the devil and the evil thoughts and temptations that comes in when I’m mover to watch pornography or masturbate
12. Help me to remember always that my body is your temple and should be kept holy always
13. Lord, I invite you into my situation. I can’t help myself, I need help to bring me up and free me from the bondage of self stimulation
14. I depend on you alone lord Jesus, You are my only hope, come to my aid.
15. Come and do what only You can do. Set me free from watching pornography and masturbation.
16. Every feeling of loneliness and lack of fulfillment making me watch pornography, let it break now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
17. Every spirit monitoring me and influencing me to watch pornography, be broken in the name of Jesus Christ.
18. You evil spirit fighting my salvation, break now in the name of Jesus Christ.
19. I’m redeemed and set free. I shall not fall into the trap of pornography and self stimulation again
20. I am the apple of God’s eye and God’s jealousy is on me. I am only for God. I’m his child ,devil shall have no control of my thoughts and mind
21. God who does not sleep nor slumber is watching over me.He will take control of my space, environment,phone,what I see and read in Jesus name
22. I am an obedient child of God, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

24. I have found freedom and free of guilt
25. There’s no more condemnation for me because I’m of the Lord and renew in Christ Jesus
