Today we are dealing with 2024 Prayer Points For Forgiveness and Holiness. Our God is a wonderful God, ever loving, ever caring, ever forgiving and fearful in Holiness. He has a forgiven heart as it was recorded in the Bible many times He has forgiven His children and given us the grace to walk with Him. The case of the woman who was persecuted in the Bible for sleeping around for instance, she was condemned by all and everyone around were ready to stone her to death, But Jesus came through for and told her to go and sim no more, that’s how magnificent and generous our Father is.
Each time we pray we put in our prayer to be holy and be able to live a sinless life, but with our daily activities it’s sometimes impossible, imagine driving to work and someone keeps on distracting you with their poor driving skills making you spend extra hours on the road and this might cause you to miss your appointment or get late to work, you can’t help but curse at the person, at times some of us unconsciously swear which we know it is against God’s commandments, then we realize later whets we just did and start to ask God forgiveness because we know our Father who art in Heaven is a generous God.

Our topic today is focusing on asking God for forgiveness and God helping us to live a holy and example worthy life. Jesus commanded us to be holy just as our Father in Heaven is holy, our daily activities makes it difficult for us to live a holy life, that’s why we have garnered some prayer points together today to lead us through the day and direct us. We believe with the help of the Holy Spirit we will rejoice with our Father in Heaven on the last day.
2024 Prayer Points For Forgiveness and Holiness
- Father Lord, I thank you for your mercy, i magnify you for your favour over my life. I thank you for the good things you have done, I thank you for how far you have helped me, may your name be exalted in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Lord, I pray for the forgiveness of my sins. In every way that I have sinned and fallen short of your glory, I ask that you forgive me. For the scripture said, even if my sin are as red as scarlet, they shall be made whiter than snow, if they are as red as crimson, they shall be made whiter than wool. I ask that you wash me thoroughly from my sins in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Father I pray for mercy. In every way that sin has hindered the manifestation of my blessings in 2023, I pray that you wash me from such sins and do not let them have dominion over me in 2024 in the name of Jesus.
- The scripture said, the face of the Lord is too righteous to behold sin. This means we must continue to live a holy life. Father Lord, I pray for the grace to continually live a holy life. I pray for the grace to have a right standing with you, let it come upon me in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Lord, cloth me with the garment of holiness, I want to be without blemish that my way may please you. Lord cloth me with garment of holiness. Take away the rag of sin that is upon me and cloth me with holiness in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Lord, I pray that in 2024 you create a new heart within me. A heart that is dead to sin and alive to righteousness. Help me lord to defeat sin so that it won’t have dominion over me anymore in the name of Jesus Christ.
- I’m sorry for all the things have done wrong, I’m sorry I left you Jesus . Have mercy upon me. I cry out my heart to you , I’m sorry Jesus. Forgive me oh Lord
- Have mercy upon me Oh Lord according to your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions and put my sins away from me,
- Purge me of every iniquities and help me to live a life of holiness
- Let your Holy Spirit take over me so that I will be under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit everyday
- Do not forsake me Lord Jesus. You’re my hope of glory and salvation. I trust you Lord. Help me to set my feet on the solid rock that can’t be moved, shaken or defeated by rain, sunshine or storm
- Direct my path always and fill my heart with the Holy Spirit so that I can have a power zeal to say no to sin and fight my flesh when it wants me to sin
- Help me to set you as my standard and my role model.
- Lord, I pray that you will liberate me from every shackles of slavery that the enemy has locked me. I pray that you will lighten my burdened heart and grant me the grace to look unto you for forgiveness.
- Father Lord, the scripture says in the book of Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” I pray that you will be merciful to my unrighteousness. I pray that my sin and lawless deeds shall be remembered no more in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, the scripture says you are merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him. I ask that you will clean me from my sin. I pray that you will make my path smooth in the name of Jesus.
- Father, it has been written, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy upon and compassion on whom I will have it upon. Lord, I pray that you will be merciful unto me. I pray that among those that will find your mercy you count me worthy in the name of Jesus.
