Prayer For Cleansing The Church

The Church is the cradle of the Christian faith. It is more like a wonderful place of abode for people, the church serves as a vehicle that brings people to Christ. The foundation of the spiritual Church knows no laxity, little wonder the scripture says on this rock I will build my church and gate of hell will not prevail over it. When Christ was about leaving the earth, He prayed earnestly for Apostle Peter because he is the foundation that the church will be built upon.

Jesus told Peter that Satan is trying to gain his soul but he has prayed for him that his faith should not wax old even when Christ is gone. If the foundation of the church is built upon the rock, that means the church has found its roots deep in Christ, hence, the problem is not the foundation. Today we are going to be engaging in prayer for cleansing the Church, this prayers will help sanitize the church and empower Christians to represent Christ boldly in the world.

There used to be a time when the Church was at the peak of social activity because the church has found a way to always shoot its arrow into the world. However, things have taken a different turn these days, the church no longer holds the stronghold that is used to control, the world has found its way into the innermost part of the church. The church has been corrupted by the vices of the world, the holy altar of God has been violated by charlatans. There is a need to birth a fire of revival in the church so that the church can take the position and perform the functions that God has purposed it to perform. Because if the church should fail in its duties, there are millions of souls that will be lost, so there is a great need to bring the church back to its place.

Before the Church can return to its place, the charlatans on the pulpit must be sent packing, the church needs to purge itself and part away with things of the world. The scripture says we are the light of the world, this means that we must be what the world will emulate and not the other way round. We must separate the chaff from the wheat, the chaff must be destroyed.

All of these cannot happen until an altar of prayer is raised for the church. Men and women must rise earnestly to pray, the altar of fire of the church must not go dim. We have to invite God back to come to take over the church, the holy one of Israel does not dwell in a place that has been marred with iniquities The scripture in the book of Luke 3:17 Whose fan is in His hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor and will gather the wheat into his garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire” The church should be sanctified, the worshippers must be purified too, and all these will happen through our fervent prayers. These prayer for cleansing the church will restore holiness back to the heart of believers.

The time has come for the great revival, a revival of sanctification and holiness as explained in the book of 2 Cor 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Let us all join hands together and clean the church by saying the following prayers for cleansing.

PRAYERS

• Lord Jesus, we pray for mercy upon your church, your word says on this rock I will build my church and the gate of hell will not prevail over it. We seek your mercy upon the church that you will cleanse the church with your blood. Do not allow the devil to triumph over the church, purge the church with your precious blood and make it magnificent like when you created it, destroy completely every hold of darkness upon the church which has dimmed the fire of revival in the Church, stretch forth your hands Lord and save the church in Jesus name.

• Lord Jesus, we confess that you are the head of the church as the scripture has said in Ephesians 1:22, we pray that you will reign once more in the church. Cause your people not suffer iniquity, let it not have Dominion over the church. The church is a city set upon the hills that should not be hidden, it is a light that should shine in the darkness of the world, grant the church the power to shine bright in the name of Jesus.

• Lord Jesus, we ask that by your power you will drive out every nitwit, charlatans, and nutcase posing a threat to the righteousness of your holy house. Jesus said the house of my father shall be called the house of prayer where holiness dwells. We pray that you will make the ground of the church uncomfortable for every righteous person, do not let them have a place in the church in the name of Jesus.

• Heavenly Father, we ask that you will give unto your church the strength to reject the works of iniquity, the power the set the standard of sanctification, the power to set the standard of holiness give it unto your church and grant liberty to your people in the name of Jesus.

• Father in heaven, we pray that by mercy that endures forever you will restore the glory of the church, more than you have done in the days of old. The scripture says for the glory of the latter shall surpass the former, we ask for the power for the church to rise and live the true Creed of its purpose in the name of Church.

• Father in Heaven, for too long the church has suffered a bad fate in the hands of the oppressor, arise O Lord and.let your enemies be scattered. For the scripture says is there anyone that does not want me to reign bring them and let them be killed. Father in heaven we pray that you will arise in your rot and take vengeance upon every man and woman sworn their soul to the devil and vowed that the gospel will not rise again, let them see your vengeance in the name of Jesus.

• Father Lord, we pray for every church that gathers in your name alone we come against every adversary against your church, purge them until they become like the church above in the name of Jesus.
