Today we shall be studying bible verses about adultery. Adultery is an extra marital sexual relationship between a man and woman. God greatly frown against the act of adultery. Marriage is honorable and the bed should be undefy.
When many people read this verse in the scripture, they think God is talking against premarital sex alone. The bed should not be defy by any stranger that you are not lawfully married to. If as a married man or woman, you invite another person to share your bed, you have defy the bed on altar of adultery.

Little wonder, one of the ten commandments God gave to Moses stated that thou shall not commit adultery. The world has badly degenerated to the extent that sex is rub on the faces of people. People no longer attack so much importance to the subject topic. Many people don’t even see anything wrong in going to bed with a man or woman that they are not married to. And even after they are married, they keep extra marital relationship and they still such relationship with sex.
God is not against a man and woman having sex as against the belief of many. However, it must be done within the confinement of marriage. A married man or woman who still keep a sexual relationship with their secret lovers are commiting great atrocity to God and their spouse. A quick look into the old testament, it will give one a full idea of how much God detest adulterers. In the book of Leviticus, there was an explanation of how people can commit adultery and there is a judgement that they be put to death.Meanwhile, the death of Christ has rescued us from the consequences of law, however, it has not destroyed the law. What is sin is still sin, nothing has changed.
Let’s quickly run you through some of the biblical verses that speaks about adultery. Some of this verses talks about the consequences that will befall every man and woman who are caught in the web of adultery. Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Leviticus 20:10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
Deuteronomy 5:18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
2 Peter 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
Proverbs 6:32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
