Today we will be dealing with prayer points against evil manipulation against the church. Recall when Jesus was about to be taken, and Peter tried in his human knowledge to stop Jesus from talking about the dark hour that is to come. Jesus rebuked the devil in life that his faith should not die after he’s gone.

Meanwhile, you will also recall that Christ said unto Peter on this rock I will build my church, and the gate of hell will not prevail over it. Matthew 16:18 And I also say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Apostle Peter became the spiritual pillar of the church.

For the gate of hell not to prevail over the church, we as people must endeavor to pray for the church. The church is the vehicle of the endtime driving souls to the heavenly Kingdom. If the church should fail, so many souls will be lost. The salvation of humankind will be in great jeopardy if the church fails.

The enemy has been shooting arrows against the church for so long. It is the prayers of the founding fathers that have kept the church intact to date. We also must endeavor to contribute our quota to it. We fail when the church fails. The manipulation of the enemy will not prevail over the church in Jesus name.

Why The Church Must Not Fail

The Death and Ressurection Might be Waste

Christ laid down his life for the redemption of humanity. While he was about leaving, he gave the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The church is the agent of socialization and integration. If the church should fail, the Great Commission is destroyed.

Soul Will Perish

God has given the church charge to deliver people to the kingdom of heaven by regular teaching of the life of Christ. If the enemy should win the church, souls will be perished. The kingdom of darkness will be highly populated. For this great Commission, the church can’t afford to fail.

The Blame Will Be on You and me

If souls are lost, if souls should perish because we fail to do our bit as a church, God will ask us for it. We were commissioned to ensure that other people are saved through the gospel of Christ. If we allow any manipulation of the enemy to override this commission, the onus will be on us.

Who We Will Pray For

Our focus in prayer will be directed to the following persons,

• The church Leader
• The Church elders
• The Church as a whole

Prayer Points for the Church Leaders

• Lord, we commit the leadership of the church to you, we pray that you will strengthen them. We ask that you will give them wisdom to direct the church church in the right manner. Lord we pray you endow them the wisdom in the name of Jesus.
• Father Lord, we pray for pastors of each church. We ask for the grace to remain steadfast. Till the second coming of Christ, we ask for the grace for them to remain steadfast, the enemy will not win their soul in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, we come against every form of temptation that may come their ways, we ask that you will give them grace to overcome it in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, we come against every form of manipulation against the church leaders, help them overcome it in the name of Jesus.
• Father Lord, until the second coming Christ, we pray that you will help the church leaders stand firm to the very end in the Jesus name.

Prayer Points For Church Elders

• Lord, we commit the church elders into your hands, we pray you will grant them long life to direct the church for longer years in the name of Jesus. 
• Father, we pray for divine wisdom for all the church elders. The grace for them to identify the devices of the devil. The grace that will strengthen far beyond what the manipulation of the enemy would do, we pray that you release it upon them in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord Jesus, we come against every form of rancour or dispute among the church elders. We pray that you will give them the wisdom to settle things amicably in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, we understand that the church elders are the pillars of the church. Lord, grant them strength to continually carry the load of the church in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, in any way that the enemy is trying to manipulate the church elders, give them the grace to stand firm in the name of Jesus. 

Prayer Points For The Church

• Lord Jesus, you said on this rock I will build my church and the gate of hell shall not prevail over it. We pray that you will strengthen the church in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, we come against every form of wolf in sheep clothing that may want to penetrate into the church, we ask that you will destroy them in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, we pray that the fire on the altar of the church will not go off in the name of Jesus. We pray by the grace of the Most High, the fire will continually burn in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord Jesus, I pray that you will give the church victory over every form of oppression of the enemy in the name of Jesus. 
• Every manipulation of the enemy to cause the church to fail in its duty, we destroy it by the authority of heaven. 
• We pray for the fire of revival for the church. Let the fire of revival begin to burn in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, every souls in the church that needs to be revived, Lord, revive them today by your mercy in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, until your second coming, the grace for the church to dominate, we pray that you release it unto the church in the name of Jesus. 
• Lord, whichever way the enemy wants to use the congregants against the church, we pray that you disallow it from happening in the name of Jesus. 
• Father, the grace to intensify the gospel of Christ across the earth, we pray that you release it upon the church in the name of Jesus.
