Proverbs 3:5 - “Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.”
When God is giving you some instructions that seems silly to you, just like God told Abraham to sacrifice his only child. This type of instruction can create confusion in the mind of man. You will wonder if it was God that was really speaking or the devil is trying to play a fast one on you. All you have to do is trust in the Lord with all your heart.
The human understanding is vulnerable to mistakes and deceit from the devil that is why we must trust in the Lord. When we are in a state of confusion and it seems our head is no longer seeing solution, that is the time to put all our trust in the Lord. David trusted in the Lord that was why he faced Goliath regardless of his size and military experience.
This is a Psalm of direction. When we are confused on which way to go, that’s the time to seek God for direction. The scripture says show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. When we put all our trust in the Lord, He will show us the way to go. The spirit of the Lord is not an author of confusion, we will get direction from the Lord.
1 Corinthians 14:33 - “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
Know this and know peace, God is not an author of confusion. He would not give you trouble that would confound you with multiple problems. The instructions of the Lord are of peace and transquility. So, when you get confounding instructions, know that they are never from God. Little wonder God warn that we should test all spirits to know the one that came from God.
Matthew 6:13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
This is a portion of the Lords prayer as Christ thought the Apostles. This is a prayer for we not to be led into temptation that would test our faith. Joseph was tempted by the wife of his master Portiphar. If he had fell to the temptation, he would have missed the plan of God for his life. Not everyone can withstand such temptation, that’s why it is important to pray to God to exempt us from temptation.
2 Timothy 1:7 - “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
For we have not been given the spirit of fear. When you are scared or confused, this word should give you courage and assurance that God did give us the spirit of fear. We have been redeemed by the precious blood of Christ to do exploit. Little wonder, the scripture says we have not been given the spirit of fear. The spirit of Christ quickens our mortal body.
1 John 4:1 -“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
This is the word of God for us. For as many of us that believe highly in prophecy, we must ask God for the spirit of discernment. So many spirits speak like they are from God, it takes the grace of God and discernment to identify that which comes from the Lord. King Saul prophesied when he entered into the midst of the Prophets of God, however, when an evil spirit came upon him, He also prophesied.
There are many false prophets that has been sent out by the devil to throw people into confusion through their prophecy. Test all spirits.
1 Peter 5:8 “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
The scripture admonish us to be at alert all the time. The devil goes about like a roaring Lion looking for whom to devour. We must stand firm in the Lord and resist the devil. The plan and agenda of the enemy is to throw pandemonium and confusion into the midst of men. But when we resist the devil, the bible recorded that it will flee.
Luke 24:38 “And he said to them, ‘Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?”
Always know that Christ is the prince of peace. He will not trouble us with difficult situations. Why are you troubled? Why do you nurse fear and doubt in your heart. Christ is the sailor of our life, he will steer our ship to the shore safely.
Jeremiah 32:27 “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”
This was God speaking to Prophet Jeremiah here. He said I’m the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? There is nothing hard for God to do, He created the entire universe, He’s got the key to all doors and answer to all questions, there is nothing impossible for him to do. That situation creating fear and confusion in your heart will be solved if only you can put all your trust in him.
