Today we will be dealing with 10 scriptures to start your day. There is no better way to start the day than with the word of God. The word of God carries power that is sufficient enough to make our day go smooth. Remember the Bible recorded that everyday is filled with evil, so is blessing imbedded in each day. The right word of God will help us set our day right.

Whether you are office worker or business person, you need the right word to make your day smooth and free from any evil occurrence. The word of the Lord is confirmation and reminder that God loves us and He watches over us. We have complied 10 scriptures you can always use to begin your day.

10 Scriptures To Begin Your Day

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”


You can use this scripture to prophesy into the day. The scripture says declare a thing and it shall be established. Declare that the day is the day that the lord has made and you will rejoice and be glad in it. This means no evil shall come your way in this new day, you shall not fall victim to any evil circumstances in the name of Jesus.

Psalm 88:13 “But unto thee have I cried, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.”

There is something about calling God in the morning. How that the book of Psalm say I will call upon you early in the morning. Remember the scripture admonish that we look for God when He can be found, we should call on Him when He is near. This prayer means the presence of God is always near and prompt early in the morning. Read this scripture, pray to God and believe that your prayer has been answered.

Psalm 90:14 “O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”

This is a prayer to God to bless us with his mercy. Remember that the scripture says I shall have mercy on whom I will have mercy upon and compassion on whom I will have it upon. This is a scripture of admonision that God should bless us with mercy that we may be glad throughout the day. When the mercy of God is with us, protocols will be broken and things will fall into place without stress.

Psalm 5:3 “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”

This scripture is to further emphasize the fact that God hear and answer prayers more in the morning. This is not to say God doesn’t answer prayers during other time of the day. God answer prayer everytime. However, it is important that we direct our prayers to God early in the morning before stepping out of the house.

Psalm 143:8 “Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.”

The is a Psalm of prayer for our day to go well and smooth. It is prayer for the lovingkindness of God to come upon us early in the morning. Also, we need direction for each day. When our life is void of direction mistake is inevitable. This is a Psalm of prayer that God direct our leg in which way to go.

1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

If you worry too much, if your heart is filled with so much anxiety that you don’t know what to do. This is the best scripture to start your day with. Are you scared of facing that you wicked boss today? Or you are skeptical that you day won’t go as planned, worryless. God has promised to care for us by taking out all our worries and anxieties.

Isaiah 45:2 I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron.

You don’t need to worry. This is a promise from God. He has promised to go before you each day and level up exalted places. This means the power of God Almighty will go before you and take out all problems or challenges that may arise against you on the way. You just need to study this scripture with faith in your heart that as it have been written, so shall it be.
Every door of iron that has been shut against you to delay your blessing will be broken by the power of God Almighty.

Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

This is a scripture of assurance that God will supply everything that we need. The richness of God the Father can not be overemphasized. The scripture says according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. This means lack and want will not be our portion for everyday of our lives.

James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

For everyday we need a certain level of wisdom to journey through life. Little wonder the scripture admonish us that if we lack wisdom we should ask from God that gives liberally without blemish. It is the wisdom of God that will teach you how to give response to every conversation that you will indulge in throughout the day.

The wisdom of God will help you solve complex situations like it is nothing.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Use this portion of the scripture to claim prosperity for the day. He said His plans for us is to prosper and not to harm us. This means every danger in our way will be taken out by the power in the name of Jesus.
