5 Signs To Know You Have Divine Calling

Today we will be teaching the 5 signs to know you have divine calling. One of the most challenging task yet fulfilling is ministry work. Just like Paul and Barnabas were set aside for the work of the lord in the book of Acts 13:12 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. God still set aside some people and give them the divine assignment to do the work of the ministry of Christ Jesus.

Often than not, I have heard so many people ask how do I know God is calling me to work in the ministry? There are so many ways or signs that you would see when God is trying to call you into the ministry. However, before we go into that, there is a kind of mindset that people must abolish about men that are called into the ministry. It is the belief of many people that those are into the works of the lord have been called into a challenging and devastating situation. The scripture says in the book of Isaiah 45:19 I have not spoken in secret, In a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain’; I, the LORD, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. God don’t call people into penury or poverty, He sure has a good plans for everyone that has been called to do the work of God.

This is a perception that has stopped many people from answering the divine call. One thing is however certain, life will not be the same anymore and things would change. There are sacrifices that such an individual must pay being an oracle of God. There are different ministries. It is not everyone who has divine calling would be a pastor, not Prophet, evangelist or the likes. The book of Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: People are called into different ministry. It is a doctrinal error to think once you have been called you must be addressed as pastor. God might have called you to operate in the ministry of prophets.

Regardless of the ministry God has called you into, you will definitely need signs to know if truly God has called. Not everyone will saw the same sign Moses saw when God called him to go down to Egypt and deliver the children of Isreal from slavery.

Some of the things you would notice when you have Divine calling include:

Revelation
The surest way or sign that would alert you if you have a divine calling is revelation. This type of revelation is not an event that was revealed to another person. God Himself will reveal yourself to you. Sometimes it could be that you saw yourself in the dreams operating in a capacity that is quite different and higher than the capacity you operate in the real life.

Sometimes you may see yourself laying hands on the sick people, delivering people from the power of bondage with the name of Jesus. And God Himself could visit you in the dream in form of an angel. The spirit of God would tell you what God wants you to do and how to do it.

You Have Special Gift
There is no man created by God that is without a gift. God created man and deposited something spectacular into every man. However, there are people whose gifts are beyond natural. You may have the gift of prophecy, or vision. This means you can pronounce an event that has not happened into reality and you have the capacity to see vision on things that is yet to happen.

Some people’s gift could be the word. Yes the spirit of God is responsible for utterances. However, some people are blessed with words than others. They are blessed with compelling words that would catch and sustain the attention of any individual. These words are not mere spoken words, they carry power and fire. When you notice that you do some of these things comfortably it could be a sign that God is calling you.

Voice of Men
Sometimes, God speak through his servants. There are times that you will get a revelation about yourself. The prophet or pastor would tell you this says the Lord God of host, I have chosen you to work for me. You shall operate in this capacity. We should not be weary of the voice of men when they tell us. God works in miraculous ways. The best thing we can do is pray fervently to God for a confirmation of the revelation.

Voice of God
Many people would say this is not really into existence anymore. Whether it is or is not in existence again, I sure know God still speaks to people. The ordination if Samuel into the ministry of Prophet was established by a direct voice of God. 1 Samuel 3:5-10 Then the LORD called Samuel. Samuel answered, “Here I am.” And he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.” But Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.” So he went and lay down. Again the LORD called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.” “My son,” Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.” Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD: The word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him. The LORD called Samuel a third time, and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.” Then Eli realized that the LORD was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, `Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.'” So Samuel went and lay down in his place. The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”

When you hear the voice of the Lord repeatedly telling you to do something, this is a great sign that God is calling into ministry.

You Have The Charisma of a Leader
When you notice that people are always according you with respect and giving you leadership positions to play, it is a perfect sign that God is calling you into the ministry.

People who are called into the ministry are leaders of men. The salvation and spiritual growth of the people lies in their hands. God would not just call a nonentity.
