It’s a new week, and we will be teaching ourselves how to access the supernatural leading of God. The supernatural leading of God is such that a man is subjected to the guidance and counseling of the holy spirit. This means God is controlling the entirety of a man’s affair. Let’s take Christ, for instance. When Christ came to the world, He practically had no Will of His own. He was led to do everything that he did, even to death.
Remember when Christ was almost tempted when he was about to be taken, He stated during prayers that if it will please the father to make this cup pass over him, immediately He stated again that not His will should be fulfilled but that of the father. This gives us a realistic view of someone whose life is supernaturally led by God. The book of Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the spirit of God, these are sons of God. We become the sons of God when he is leading us.

Many Christians would not have become prey to the devil if only they are being led by God. The devil would not have abated many destinies and glory if only God were the controller of that life. Remember that God is not an author of confusion, and He doesn’t make mistakes. There is no way God will lead a man, and his end won’t be fulfilling. The scripture says in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
The sad thing is that many people are looking for a way to return to God, a way to submit their lives to the leading of the Holy Spirit, but they find it difficult to do that. To access the supernatural leading of God, an individual must take specific proactive steps. Some sacrifices must be made by whoever wants to be led by the spirit of God. How To Access The Supernatural Leading of God
You Must Be Born Again
In the scripture in the book of John 3:5, Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
God doesn’t recognize a man that is not born again. We become the sons of God by believing in Him through Christ Jesus. When we do this, God can assume the role of a father over us.
Just like a earthly father can’t discharge a father’s duty on a child that is not his, so also can God not father a child that doesn’t belong to him. Becoming born again means rededicating our life to God through Christ Jesus. This is because the face of God is too righteous to behold sin.
The scripture stated in the book of Psalm 51 that in sin did our mother conceived us. That means, even before we were born, we have a burden of sin on our neck already. Becoming born again means accepting Christ as our Lord and savior and being inducted into the priesthood of God.
When we do this, it gives us access to the spirit of God.
You Must Have The Holy Spirit
The book of Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
For a man to be led by God, they must possess the spirit of God. The first step towards having the spirit of God is believing in Christ Jesus and accepting him as your personal Lord and savior.
After this, you begin to grow in Christ. There is a level of growth we attain in Christ Jesus that gives us access to the spirit of God. The Apostles of Christ worked directly with Jesus, but they didn’t attain that level of growth spiritually. That was why they could not heal the sick, calm the storm or raise the dead.
When Christ was going into heaven, He told the apostles to tarry in Jerusalem until they received the holy spirit. For that which is of the flesh is flesh and that which is of spirit is spirit. Meanwhile, God is spirit, and those who worship Him must do it in truth and spirit.
Having the holy spirit gives us an unhindered channel to communicate with God and vice versa. To be led by God, God must be able to communicate with you, and the way He can do that is by His spirit.
You Must Be Humble
The book of James 4:6 “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
God crowns a humble man with favor. You must be humble enough to listen to God when He speaks. The spirit of God hates pride. God is sovereign; He always wants to be in charge. You must allow the spirit of God always to take charge all the time.
If you are proud, God will not lead you. God despises the proud but shows favor to the humble. God doesn’t want competition; He wants to be God in every sphere. You must allow him to rule over everything that concerns you.
You Must Have Faith
The book of Hebrews 11:6 But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
You must have faith in God. When you have faith in God, it will help you trust and obey His instructions even in a difficult situation. Abraham had faith in God; that was why he could trust and obey God when he was asked to leave his father’s house and go away from his kindred into a land that he will be shown.
He had faith in God; that was why he agreed to sacrifice Isaac, a covenant child not knowing what God was about to do. Even when the instructions seem stupid, you must learn to trust and obey God. This, however, won’t be possible unless you have strong faith in Him.
