Prayer Points To Overcome The Devil

Today we will be dealing with prayer points to overcome the devil. Overcoming Satan means resisting the devil. Resisting the devil means resisting every evil thing. The scripture says in James 4: 7, “Submit yourself to the Lord resist the devil, and he will flee from you. The devil doesn’t go to a place without leaving a lasting impact behind. The scripture says the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. It is essential to know that the thief in this context is the devil. When the devil visits a place, there is always a mark left behind to show that the devil was there.

We will be praying powerful prayers to overcome the devil. When we overcome the devil, we have power over sin and iniquity. When we get power over sin and iniquity, we no longer become slaves to sin. The enemy understands that the best thing that can sway us away from the presence of God is sin. Recall in the book of Genesis how man sinned and fell short of the glory of God. The consequence was very devastating, which led to a man being sent out of the beautiful garden of Eden. The man was not just sent out of the garden; God also cursed man and woman for disobeying Him.

Devil is the mastermind of sin. He tempts us using different vices. Little wonder the scripture admonishes us not to be ignorant of the devices of the devil. When we overcome the devil, it gives us the leverage to serve God better and do His bidding. The spirit is of the Lord; the flesh is of the devil. The book of Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” When we strive to do the things of the spirit, the flesh arises with temptations that will hinder us from doing them. But when we overcome the devil, we have subdued the flesh. I decree by the authority of heaven; the flesh will have no power over you again in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Points:

• Lord, I thank you for grace you have bestowed on me to see a new day, I magnify you for keeping me to witness this day, may your name be highly exalted in the name of Jesus.
• Father Lord, I pray for power over sin and iniquity. The scripture says if the power of Him that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, it will quicken your mortal body. Lord, I pray that you let there be an outpour of God’s spirit into me today. The spirit of God that will help me stay dead to sin and be alive to righteousness, I ask that by the mercy of God, it is released unto me in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, I come against every form of Temptation by the enemy. You have promised in your word that I shall not be tempted beyond what I can bear. Lord, I come against every form of temptation that the enemy is planning for me, I nullify them by the power in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, I come against every demonic force that the enemy is using to attack me, I destroy such curse by the blood of the lamb. Lord, I pray that every evil covenant of the devil over my life that gives the devil power over me, I decree that such covenants are destroyed today in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, it has been written, any tree that is not planted by God shall be uprooted. I decree by the authority of heaven, every demonic tree in my life that is not of you Lord, let them be uprooted in the name of Jesus.
• From today, I receive power to resist the devil even in my sleep. In every way the devil used to torment from my sleep, I pray that the spirit of God will help me stop the devil today, in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, I cancel the plans of the enemy over my life today in the name of Jesus. Every strategy of the enemy to subdue me is destroyed by fire. I decree that the fire of God Almighty will descend into the camp of my enemies and consume them with fire in the name of Jesus.
• For it has been written, he that the son has set free is free indeed. I free myself from every shackles of the enemy in the name of Jesus. I decree by the authority of heaven, every bondage that the enemy has used to hold, every bondage that the enemy is using to hold me down, I break them into pieces by the power in the name of Jesus.
• In the name of Jesus Christ, every evil tongue of the accuser is condemned over my life in the name of Jesus. I silent the accuser over my life today by the authority of heaven, in the name of Jesus. Every power of death over my life, I destroy you by fire in the name of Jesus.
• Father Lord, every evil oppressor over my life, I destroy them today in the name of Jesus. Every demonic oppressor is destroyed today by the fire of the holy ghost.
• The scripture says you shall receive power when the holy spirit has come upon you. I receive the power of the holy spirit today in the name of Jesus.
• I decree that from today, my life becomes uncomfortable for every evil demon or person to toy with in the name of Jesus. I decree that my health receive power from above in the name of Jesus.
• I decree by the authority of heaven that my finances receive the power of God today in the name of Jesus. I free mu finances from the bondage of the devil in the name of Jesus.
• The scripture says Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. I pray that the holy spirit strengthen me, I refuse to be slave to the devil anymore in the name of Jesus.
