The year 2021 remains just a few days to end and it is by the mercy of the Lord that we are still alive. There are so many families that could not celebrate Christmas due to the death of a member of the family. Even the new year won’t be the usual celebration that it used to be in those families. But the mercy of the Lord has kept us, His everlasting protection has been upon us, that’s enough reason to give thanks to God as individuals and as families.

Now the year is ending soon. We are anticipating the new year. The year is filled with lots of hope for us all. As many of us that we’re unable to achieve certain things this year, we believe that the coming year will be prosperous. The family is an institution established by God. It is important to pray together as a family. Should any evil had happened to any member of the family, Christmas and new year’s celebrations would feel different.

Through the spirit of God, we have compiled 5 end of the year prayer for every family. As stated, every family reading this blog must pray these prayers together. The scripture said it is by the mercy of the Lord that we are not consumed. Let these prayers usher you into the new year.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

The scripture said it is not of him that willeth or runneth but of God that showeth mercy. By strength shall no man prevail. The ending of a year is not a time to be sober about the things you could not achieve. Rather it is a time to give thanks to God for His mercy. When there is life, there is hope. The fact that you are still breathing as an individual and as a family, means God is not done with you yet, He still has plans for you.

Why not give thanks. Thanksgiving unlocks hidden blessings. Do not complain about things you have not gotten, thank Him for the ones you have as a family, and anticipate for the ones you will receive.

• Father, I magnify you because you are God over my family. The scripture said be worry for nothing but in everything through supplication, prayers, and thanksgiving, make your request known to him. Lord, I thank you for your blessing. I thank you for your protection over me and my family, may your name be highly exalted in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Father, I thank you for your protection over my family. It is truly by your mercy that we are not consumed. The enemy waged war but you are faithful with your promises. You promised that with our eyes shall we see and behold the reward of the wicked. You said no evil shall befall us or come near our dwelling place. Thank you Lord for being faithful, thank you for your protection. May your name be highly exalted in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Lord, we thank you because we have conquered this year. And we hope and are rest assured that we will be victorious in the coming year. We thank you because you will continue to keep your promises and establish your covenant with us, may your name be highly exalted in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer For Protection In The Coming Year

As the new year approaches, families must come together to seek the face of God concerning protection. The scripture made us understand that we should redeem every day because each day is filled with evil.

• Father, the scripture said the eyes of the Lord are always upon the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayers. Father, we pray that your hands of protection shall be upon us in the coming year in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Father, we ask that you will guide and direct us in ways to go. Your word said no evil shall befall us neither shall any plague come near our dwelling place. Father, we ask that you anoint us with your precious blood. We ask that you will continue to establish your touch not my anointed covenant over our lives in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer Against Sickness in The New Year

The new year will be filled with up and down. As the Lord has plans for His people, so also the devil has plans to inflict the people of God with terrible illness and disease. Families must come together to pray against sickness.

• Father Lord, we cancel every plan of the enemy to inflict us with sickness in the name of Jesus Christ. Every plan and agenda of sickness over our lives is canceled in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Lord, we anoint ourselves with the precious blood of Jesus against every new disease and virus in the coming year in the name of Jesus. Lord, we change our DNA, we decree that it is immune to any terrible illness that the enemy has designed for the coming year in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer Against Death

This year is good and is ending well because we didn’t lose any member of our family. If the reverse were to be the case, we would not call it a good year. Families should pray against death in the coming year. The Lord is faithful to answer our prayers.

• Father, we come against every agenda of death over any member of this family in the name of Jesus Christ. For it has been written, we shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living. Lord, every plan of death is destroyed over our lives in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Lord, we pray that you will anoint us with your blood when the angel of death sees us, he will pass over in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, over us, death is canceled in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

The coming year will be filled with blessings. Families must be well-positioned to tap into these blessings. Prayers can unlock these blessings.

• Father, we pray that you shall bless us abundantly in the coming year. We ask that you open the portal of heaven and pour out your blessings upon us mightily in the name of Jesus Christ.
