By Obedience
Deuteronomy 5:33 Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
You must have heard the popular parlance that says obedience is better than sacrifice. When the spirit of God is telling you to do something, do it. The spirit of God is silent. It gains more prominence in our heart by the virtue of our agreement with him and obedience to his instruction. When you continually disobey the spirit of God, you will no longer from him.
Do Not Rely On Your Strength
James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Submit all to God. The more you continue to rely on your strength and ability, the more you are telling God that He’s not needed. For many years the children of Israel were languishing in pain and agony in the land of Egypt. Often than not they have tried to stand for themselves but all to no avail. God left them until they remembered that their fathers served a God whose name is Jehovah.
God is in no competition with anyone and certainly, he won’t compete with you. If you are telling God you can do it by yourself, God will simply excuse himself.
Ask For Help
Jeremiah 33:3, Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
Always ask God for help. Ask Him for protection over your life and family. The scripture says and it shall be given unto you, seek and you shall find. Do not keep silent. God is our Heavenly Father and He’s always ready to listen to us when we call on Him.
