Let’s talk about something different today. We are believers but that doesn’t stop us from having dreams and aspirations. Some of us have big desire to rule the world. As cliche as that may sound, it is also part of God’s plan for our lives. God doesn’t just want us to be spiritual bearers alone, He also wants us to be rulers, kings and kingmakers in our respective ways. The scripture said in the book of Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
God wants us to occupy, take over and do business till He comes. To everyone of us, God has given a destiny which translates into dreams and aspirations. It is however, unfortunate that not all believers are able to actualise their dreams before death. Some could not even discover their purpose all the years they lived here. While others identified their dreams but were unable to fulfill them.

Today, we will be teaching the 5 ways to nurture your dreams into fulfilment. Many young Christians make mistakes while nurturing their dreams and the enemy utilise this mistake to strike them down. Samson could not nurture his dream to become fulfillment. God had destined him to be a deliverer to free the people of God from captivity. Unfortunately he was unable fulfill this.

Many destinies have been lost because the destiny holder were careless. Here today, we will explain 5 ways to nurture your dreams into fulfilment.
Watch The Company You Keep
1 Corinthians 15:33
Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”
Have you heard the popular parlance that says show me your friend and I will tell you who you are? Truly, the kind of company we keep will to a large extent determine the kind of person we are. The type of friends we associate with can either make or unmake us.
When God gives you a vision as to what your purpose is on earth, there are certain people that you must be seperated from. Not everyone is your friend. A man of vision is no friend to everyone. He carefully select few people who carries the same burden as him. If you make mistake during friend selection, you will be greatly punished for it. Because you can be greatly influenced by the calibre of friends that you keep.
Be Discreet About Your Dreams
Genesis 37:4-21
But his brothers hated Joseph because their father loved him more than the rest of them. They couldn’t say a kind word to him. One night Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him more than ever. “Listen to this dream,” he said. “We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!” His brothers responded, “So you think you will be our king, do you? Do you actually think you will reign over us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dreams and the way he talked about them.
It is not everyone that is worthy of knowing your dreams. Regardless of the kind of relationship you share with others, be discreet and ask for the grace of discernment. Many destinies have been destroyed because the vision was revealed to the wrong people.
Envious people will hate you because of your dream. And your relationship with them won’t stop them from wrecking havoc in your life. That’s why you must be discreet. It is not all the people around you that are worthy to know your dreams.
Get Relevant Skills
Proverbs 16:27 Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece.
Do not make the mistake of being idle. An idle hand is the devil’s workshop. The more you stay idle, the more accessible you are to the enemy. It is not hard for the devil to contaminate your mind. But if you are busy, you have less time to think of trivial things. The only thought that invades your mind is your desire to conquer the world.
While you might not be able to do just any work, you can get relevant skills that is in alignment with what God has showed you. This skills might not seen useful immediately, but it will prove useful in the long run.
Get A Mentor
There has never been a champion without mentor. Whatever dream God has showed you, there is someone who has excelled in that field. You might need to look up to them. It was not a mistake that Samuel ended in the house of Eli. Young Samuel was tutored by Eli.
Moses after fleeing Egypt went to Jethro and was with him for 40 years. Jethro was a priest. God used him to teach Moses the ways of Lord different from what he had learnt in the land of Egypt.
When you finally find someone you can learn from, do not prove unteachable. Samuel had more insight of God than Eli, but he still served under Eli for years. Moses had more cordial relationship with God than Jethro, but he still served under Jethro for years. Learn to serve regardless of who God has given you as master or tutor.
Pray
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”
The Lord has given you a vision of who you are and the destiny you are meant to fulfil. Now you have a dream but it doesn’t end there. It will interest you to know that the enemy is not ignorant of that dreams. The devil is always aware of what God has shown you. And the devil will do everything to ensure that dream is contaminated.
That’s why you must invest your time into praying to avert the plans of the enemy over the vision God had given you.

Thank God for giving you a great vision of your destiny. You must guard it with all deligence because enemy only comes to steal, kill and destroy.
