Today we will be dealing with 5 Ways to stop worrying and start praying. We should know that God cares for us irrespective of our positions, age or status in life. Why should we fear when the Lord is on our side?, Why should we fear and worry when the Lord has set things in place for us. As Christians we need to stop worrying about how we will feed, live. Let’s read through the bible verses below to know what God says about worrying.
Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”We are to give our worries to Him, because He walks through things with us.
1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”Isiah 35vs 4
4 say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
Worry brings anxiety. When this continue for long, it leads to panic attack. You will no longer be able to sleep well at night because you are scared. Meanwhile, worry and fear most times are only illusional. Most of the things we fear are not real. There are some of us that can’t even identify what we worry about.
We are so conscious of how things are that we forget that there is a God. We are so worried about our lives that we forget that we didn’t create ourselves and the life we worry about isn’t ours. We forget that we are kings and princes in the Lord. We have been made in the image of the Father. This makes us a demigod.
Meanwhile, it is the same God that take care of the ant on the ground and the fishes in the ocean. If He can do that for lesser creatures, imagine what He can and will do for creatures made and designed in His image and likeness.
Although it is hard not to think, it is hard not to worry and it is almost impossible not to fear. However, we must not be defeated by our fear that we fail to recognize that there is a God in the storm and He is capable of calming the storm.
Negative effect of excessive worry on our daily lives

Physical signs can be the first sign that constant worrying is becoming a problem. Headaches, stomach aches, and shortness of breath can indicate that you’re experiencing excessive worry.

Seek Mentorship From Spiritual Fathers
Stop worrying by seeking mentorship from our spiritual father’s in church, our environments or in our neighborhoods. The bible says wisdom is profitable to direct , seeking for help about what is causing you to worry might help you to see that what you’re worried about isn’t worth it.
As Christ said cast all of your cares on me , and remember this interesting verse in the bible that says we don’t even know how the birds in the air feeds nor the fishes in the sea ,so why get worried when you can’t even add an extra day to your years in earth.
The elders might be able to help you, even your pastor can pray along with you. If you have anything bothering seek for help with a trusted person. Basically, you deserve to live a life you love, and endless worry can prevent you from fully thriving. The bible says do not forsake the gatherings of the brethren, while talking and sharing ideas, someone might talk about your ordeal and Indirect direct you on what to do ,in all just know that we are conquerors and we’ve been given a name above every other names so do not worry!
Take parts in activities that will make you happy and not depressed
Doing something you like is a great way to keep your self from getting worried, and this will help you mentally too. Not only does taking part in activities that distract you from your worries help you positively, but it also allows your body to produce happy hormones that get you excited and also help you to show positive energy towards things. Also forget that it will help with your beautiful and handsome features has God has created you.
Focusing your mind on any activity that makes you feel good and keep you from worrying can quickly shift your state of mind and help you stop worrying.
Here are some activities you can take part in; Take a walk with your love ones, share and exchange ideas. Talk about your happy moments with your friends, parents etc.
Do something you’ve been wanting to do for a long time, something like going on vacation to a place with beautiful sights, visit some tourist centres. You can go to the cinema with a Friend to watch a comedy filled movie and also end it with a night out with friends.
Listen to good music, music is said to heal the soul. Most importantly don’t forget to have a quiet time with God.Make sure you pray
Cast all of your worries and cares on God
Remember on the cross of Calvary at a point Jesus was worried that He couldn’t bear the pain anymore then He remember that It’s beyond His control , He then said Father I hand over my life to you. Can we see what He did there. He had no control of himself again so instead of Him to be worried unnecessarily He decided to hand over everything to God.
As Christians that is what is expected of us. Remember we didn’t create ourselves, we can’t even add an extra year to our years, we don’t even know what will happen the next day so why worry about things that is beyond our control. Do we know what the funny thing is no amount of worries can solve our problems, it will only add more to it and can affect our health.
Brethren do not worry over things you can’t control. Remember we have a God that made way were there was no way for the Israelites in the red sea , how much more you that His beloved Son died for , I’m sure God won’t leave us to tend to our matters alone.
Many people falsely believe that spending more time worrying about a problem will make it easier to find a solution.
Believe and have faith
Remember faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Our father Abraham is the father of faith because he believed so much in what God says Let’s have faith that God hands are not too small to be stretched out to us neither does God have small ears that He won’t be able to hear our prayers. Let’s believe that our situations have been settled already. Remember that Jesus said we shouldn’t be worried so far He His riding in the same wheel with us be rest assured that things will be fine okay ?
In all things give thanks to God, focus on what you’re grateful for all the time
As we focus on one negative thought, it makes our brain to be more stressed, By reminiscing on what you’re grateful for can help train your brain to search for happy moments. of worry.
