When Christ was teaching us how to pray. He said forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. This means we get what we sow. Evil shall not depart from the house of a man that does evil unto other people. Every fruit we sow will be accounted for and we shall reap them in due time.

Life is About Give and Take

There are so many portions of the bible that lay claim to this fact. Life is about give and take. For God to restore the lost souls of humans, He had to sacrifice His only begotten son Jesus. Similarly, when we want something, we sow a seed. The scripture in the book of Proverbs 11:24 There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.

Let’s consider the law of agric. Before a farmer can harvest a crop, he must have scattered some on the ground. Scattering brings increment. When we hold our hands towards giving, we don’t receive something new. We only hold unto the ones that we have before.

There is something you have in abundance that someone else lacks. The central idea is giving to people especially the needy. When we give to the needy, a community of people who can not in any way repay us, the Lord repay us. This repayment could come in any form. It could be good health, our finances could experience a drastic improvement.

Wisdom is Key

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

How do you intend to journey in life without wisdom? How do you intend to relate and understand people when you lack understanding? In life Wisdom is principal. The right wisdom will transform your life rapidly. One reason why many didn’t grow in the last 365 days is that they lack wisdom.

And the Bible stated that if any man lacks wisdom, let him ask from God that gives liberally without blemish. That’s because even God understands the essence of wisdom. King Solomon prospered not because he was the most hard-working or diligent king but because he was the wisest.

Even to make money wisdom is needed. When you have the right wisdom, money answer to you. So in the coming years, ensure you invest more into wisdom. Pray diligently for the spirit of wisdom and your life will be transformed.

Humble Yourself

Luke 14:11 For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

If you want to go far in life, learn to stay humble. This is not a motivational quote, it is a biblical principle that works like magic. God detests pride. When you are proud, it seems to God like you want to be God and God detests competition. That’s why God brings down the proud. The story of Goliath is a perfect example. He was so proud of himself due to his height and strength. But God brought him down using little David. Also the story of King Nebuchadnezzar. He turned into a beast for seven years.

God hates the proud. However, He exalts those who are humble. This is to show to every man that only God can uplift. As you journey in the new year, try as much as you can to be humble. Do not be intoxicated by your position or wealth that you look down on people. Even with your wealth and position remain humble and God will keep elevating you.

Obedience is better than sacrifice

1 Samuel 15:22-23 “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you from being king.”

The act of obeying simple instructions would take a man further in life. God doesn’t take delight in the burnt offering, to listen is better than the fat of rams. As you go into the new year, try to always obey the instructions of God. When you learn to obey simple instructions God will find you worthy to operate in a greater capacity.
