The nation was colonized by Germany in 1884, while Belgium also invaded it in 1916 during World war1. They have low corruption compared to other neighbouring countries in Africa. They have a few natural resources and their economy is based mostly on subsistence agriculture using simple tools.
One of their major setbacks is the issue of over population. The people of Uganda are majorly Christians who have misinterpreted God’s instruction for them to multiply, and so they’ve gone ahead to give birth to more and more children that they are not able to cater for. Not that the economy was below standard, but it isn’t enough for the number of people in the country.
They also have issues of youth unemployment and an overdependence on the government.

Judging by all the facts, one might begin to wonder why it is still important to say a prayer for the nation of Kenya?

Truth be told, most of these facts and figures about the nation’s economy are just mere statistic. They do not entirely represent the actual reality of things happening in the campestral jungle and valley of Kenya. WHY PRAY FOR THE NATION OF TANZANIA

If ills and abnormalities continue to flourish in a continent where there are true children of God, it doesn’t speak well of our identity as people of God. Tanzania is located in the heart of East Africa. Good to note, it is one of the most beautifully structured countries in East Africa. Also, most of the economy disaster that has affected many other African countries has spared Tanzania. The nation housed one of the popular tourists attraction sites in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro, which sees millions of tourists trooping into the country on yearly basis.

Furthermore, the nation of Tanzania has experienced an undiluted domestic stability. However, it has not in anyway been able to convert those blessings into domestic prosperity. Similar to the event that happened in 2 kings 2:19 “The people of the city said to Elisha, “Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive.” So also is the land of Tanzania well situated, yet, her people still suffers.  The country have a population of over 50 million people, and more than half of the entire population live below poverty line, what a country try! If you are still reading this, don’t you think it is high time you step into the spiritual court and say a prayer for the nation of Tanzania?

The reason most government officials are not successful is because the governed do not pray for their success. We must cultivate the habit of praying for our leaders.

The people of Tanzania are going through a lot to put food on the table. According to reports, only one out of every five Tanzanian can access a bank after one hour walk. Though efforts are being made by international organization to alleviate the suffering of the people of Tanzania. However, our prayers as saint will also go a long way in hastening up the process. Today we are engaging in prayer for the nation of Uganda. Uganda is one of the countries located in the east of Africa. It was one of the African countries that was never fully colonized, as non- Africans were not allowed to acquire freeholds. It is regarded as the Pearl of Africa because of its unique natural destination as compared to other African countries basically because of its large forested area composed of natural parks and wildlife reserves giving home to a large number of primates including Chimpanzees, gorillas, monkeys, butterflies and birds.

Uganda has substantial natural resources, including fertile soils, regular rainfall, small deposits of copper, gold and other minerals and recently discovered oil. Agriculture is the most important sector of the economy, employing more than one-third of the work force.
They have however been recorded to have a high level of poverty, infact, they were regarded to as the poorest country at some point. Diseases are a major cause of poverty in Uganda, infant and child mortality rates remain high, wit 131 deaths per 1,000 births. They have also been recorded to have one of the smallest churches in the world

WHY SHOULD YOU PRAY FOR THE NATION OF UGANDA

When things go wrong and when things go right we are expected to pray. God is not a purposeless God, everything He does, He does for a reason. God’s major design for prayer is to allow His will to be done at every point ( Matthew 6). If we find ourselves living below God’s standard for our lives and our nations, living in poverty, living in darkness, living in constant sickness and death, then it means we have not stayed with God in prayer to right the wrongs and to bring God’s purpose to pass.

Oh, I know a country where moral decadence was never heard or known, a place where negative social vices were not visible.
