Today we will be teaching the scriptural proof that the spirit of God is leading you. The Christian life is a life of power and dominance. That’s why often than not, the scripture emphasized being led by the spirit of God. The scripture stated in the book of Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
The holy spirit empowers us as believers. The new testament writer explained that the flesh is weak. That’s why most believers find it difficult to do things of the spirit. However, when the spirit of Him that raised Christ dwells in us, it will quicken our mortal body. When the spirit of God dwells in us, our lives no longer become ours, we no longer control ourselves, but the spirit does. We are transformed into a better version of ourselves through the help of the spirit of God.

When the spirit of God is leading you, some signs would be eminent in you. These signs will show your difference and separate you from others. Here are some of the signs that you would notice.
5 signs the spirit of God is leading you
1.You Become Courageous
ACTS 2:13 Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.” But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days, And they shall prophesy.
This was Apostle Peter courageously preaching the gospel to thousands of people. Meanwhile, the old Apostle Peter could not stand with Christ when he was taken. He had denied Christ thrice because he lacked the courage to stand with Christ in the face of tribulation.
However, when the spirit of God came upon him, he spoke with courage amid several people. The fire of the holy ghost had just baptized the people, and they were speaking in diverse tongues. When they were seen, people argued that they are being intoxicated by sweet wine. Immediately, Apostle Peter stood to his feet and debunked the allegation.
He could not have done this without courage. Indeed, when the spirit of God is leading you, fear becomes a thing of the past.
2. You Show The Fruits of The Spirit
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such, there is no law..”
When the spirit of God is leading you, that means the holy spirit dwells in you. When the holy spirit dwells in you, the following signs will be eminent in your life, goodness, kindness, self-control, gentleness, peace, patience, love, and faithfulness. There is an unexplainable peace that comes with those who are led by the spirit of God. Even when the storm of life is raging at them, they are calm because they know God.
The scripture says those that know their God shall be strong, and they shall do exploit. When the spirit of God is leading a man, what bothers other people will not affect him. Their gaze is set on things on high. Such persons have inner peace even in the face of trouble.
3. You Walk In Faith
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
When you no longer walk by sight but by faith. Abraham didn’t walk by sight. He walked by faith simply because he trusted God. He obeyed every instruction that God gave to him. Whether or not the instructions defy the common sense of man, Abraham would still obey.
When the spirit of God leads you, you trust God to a level that every instruction that comes from Him becomes mandatory for you. Even when it doesn’t seem pleasant in the sight of men, you would not care. If God has commanded it, that means there is something He wants to achieve through it. God will never abandon us amid the storm; His help will always come through for us at the moment we need it most.
4. You Seek God First
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
The moment you no longer rely on your wisdom to do things. The moment you only look up to God for a direction, that means you have been able to subdue the flesh through the power of the holy ghost.
The scripture says if any man lack wisdom, let him ask from God that gives liberally without blemish. What this means is that when you speak, you expend wisdom that supersedes the understanding of men. That baby Jesus has more knowledge and understanding of the scripture than scholars who are way older than him. This can only be possible by the power of the holy spirit.
5. You Have Power Over Sin
Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Man in his natural state is powerless against sin and principalities. But when the spirit of God comes upon a man, he receives power to do the impossible. Remember apostle Peter that could not calm the storm when the boat was about to wreck, he prayed for a lame man, and he walked. Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
When the spirit of God is leading you, it gives you the power to do things that are considered impossible.
