Prayer For Those Addicted To Drugs

Drug abuse and addiction are now one of the most common vices that the devil uses to snatch people away from salvation. So many destines has been caught up and destroyed by the web of drug addiction. A close look into the statistics of those indulging in the act of drug abuse and addiction most of them are youths. The devil has nothing to do with nonentity, his target is always those with great potential of becoming great in life. Little wonder almost half of the youths are caught up in the act.

As a custodian of the internet, it has made me understand and see quite a number of casualties that have been caused by intense use of drugs like opioids, nicotine, weed, expectorant, and others. It was earlier reported that an American artist that died from the excess use of drugs. He was a young artist with great potential, but he lost his life at a very tender age due to the excessive use of hard drugs.

Addiction to hard drugs is evil, and everyone must rise against it and drive it out of our land before it eats deep into our future and destroys it.

This should be our collective cry to God for those who are caught up in the web of drugs. The prayer of the righteous availed much. Moreso, the expectations of the creation await the manifestations of the sons of God. It is therefore expedient that we raise an altar of prayer for those whose soul is about to be snatched away by the devil through addictions to drugs. I have compiled some power prayers for those who are addicted to drugs, I encourage you to pray this prayers with all your heart and strong faith as we intercede for all the addicts around us. Many of this drug addicts want to be free, but they cannot because the devil has held them spellbound. They have become captives.  As we join forces together and pray for drug addicts around the world, there shall be deliverances in Jesus Christ name. For the abundance of love that mouth cannot explain that we have towards our people caught up in the hook of drug addiction, we say these prayers to God:

Prayers For Those Addicted To Drugs

Our so Righteous Father, you are the creator of Heaven and the Earth. You are the one who made the heavens and the Earth your footstool, this shows how powerful you are. Lord, by your power, we ask that you stretch forth your hands and save those who are caught in the web of addiction. To many of the people we care so much about, and for the sake of the people that we want to win for heaven, we ask that you help remove the addiction to drugs off their minds. We beseech you Lord to create in them in new heart, a heart that will fear you, Lord. Because the scripture says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. They surely need wisdom on how to escape from this prison that we have been held captive by drugs.

Lord, we ask that you create in them a new heart, a heart that will only thirst after your things alone. The book of Psalm says the things of the house consume my spirit. That spirit of God that will create that unquenchable thirst and hunger in their heart for the things of the Kingdom. The spirit of God that will override their addiction to weed, nicotine, opioids, marijuana, and all other hard substances, your spirit that will turn every form of drugs into poison to them, we ask that you create it in them.

Lord God, we ask for that spirit that will give them the consciousness to be steadfast, that when that desirable feeling to take drugs arise again, the spirit of God that will bring to their consciousness that they now belong to Christ, your spirit that will give strength to their mortal body. For it has been written that the spirit of God helps our infirmities, Lord, we understand that addiction to drugs is an infirmity, Lord gives them the spirit that will help in their moment of weakness. Your words say Your spirit quickens our mortal body, we ask for that spirit that will quicken their mortal body.

Lord, your word says that Christ has been beaten for our sake, he has been made a curse for us that we may be freed from the curse of the law because cursed is he that is hung on the tree. Lord by your mercy, we ask that you break every curse of addiction upon their lives. Many times their spirit is willing to abstain from drugs but their flesh is weak, gives strength to them Lord and free them from the trap of sin. We ask that by your mercy Lord, you stretch forth your hands of Mercy and you save them from their state of desolation.

Lord, we pray for your comfort upon those us whose heart has been buttered because the people we love dearly are locked up in the prison of drug addiction. Lord, we ask that you comfort our spirit and give us the strength to continually fight for them both physically and spiritually. Lord, the scripture made us understand that the heavens rejoice when a sinner turns away from his sin, Lord grant us the strength not to relent until these ones turn to you. Until they are a gain to heaven and lose to hell, Lord grants us the grace not to give up on them.

Our Father in heaven we pray for as many that only seek comfort and happiness in taking drugs, that they will see a friend in Jesus. That they will love you more than they love opioids, nicotine, or weeds. That your love in their hearts will be greater than that that they have for drugs. They want to be free from it but they know not the right way to go, Lord, we ask that in your infinite you stretch forth your hands and save them. We lift our voices in prayer that you will cause them to have an encounter with you, an unforgettable encounter, an encounter that they will never forget in a rush. Such that will change everything about them, an encounter that will give them a better understanding about you and the kids that you have for them, Lord we ask that you cause them to have it in Jesus name.
