This may come as a surprise to some, but yes, even Christian marriages struggle, If you are a Christian and have ever felt disappointed, frustrated, or even angry with your spouse, you are not alone. You may not know what to do or where to turn. The first thing you should know is that it is normal for Christian couples to struggle. Further, those who promise “until death do us part” can have it all fall apart.
Christians are not perfect, nor do they suddenly become relationship experts when they follow Christ. So if you are in a difficult marriage, you don’t have to give up or feel like you are alone. Nevertheless, there is a piece of good news; God has promised that he will heal our marriages. Maybe you are suffering from broken homes; this might just be the miracle that you need to make your home a comfort zone. PRAYERS
- Lord Jesus, I pray you would be glorified in my marriage. Wherever I find myself, in good times or bad times, help me to reflect on your character. In faith, I wait for change and healing in my marriage.
- Lord, I pray for your peace to rule richly in my marriage and my home. You said in your Word that the peace you give passes all understanding. I receive that peace right now. I choose to let the peace of Christ rest in my heart. As the peace of Christ rests in my heart, it will extend to my marriage.
- Lord, show us how to follow your example and set aside our selfishness and pride and humbly serve each other, be of one spirit and one mind and value each other and looking out for each other’s interests
- Bless our Marriage O God, with Peace and Happiness, and make our love fruitful for Your glory and our Joy both here and in eternity.
- Lord Jesus, we ask for a stronger bond of unity in our marriage covenant and let nothing come between us.
- Father, Grant us the strength to exercise the areas of our lives where we lack. Give us a focus and the perseverance to run.
- In Jesus’ name, I rebuke every thought of hatred, malice, and pride towards one another. I rebuke every dispute, situation, and argument in our home today,
- Lord, teach, and guide us that we will always seek You first in everything we do. May our love be filled with genuine affection, and may we honor each other at all times.
- Lord, allow the tears of distress that falls upon my marriage be transformed into tears of joy. And I pray that You will be praised in my household during the raging storms.
- Every evil hand and tongue, raised to trouble my peace and my family, paralyze and die, in the name of Jesus.
- Father Lord, locate and destroy evil power and their weapons hired against my family, in the name of Jesus.
- Loving Lord, I place that anger and bitterness that Is harbored in my family at Your feet and pray that in Your grace, You will expose all that is causing the bitter poison that is lodged within our heart to the surface, and set my family free from it, I pray.
- But Lord, I desire that my family set free from every pollution within our heart, so that the root of anger shrivels within. I ask You to examine and root out all that is not pleasing in Your sight.
- Thank You, Lord. For my family trust You to take away all the anger within and fill us with Your perfect peace, for You have promised to keep all in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You.
- Dear God, I ask that you please heal the damage that has built up through the long struggle my partner and I have been through in our relationship. Please bless us both with the wisdom to take the knowledge of what we’ve done wrong and use it to make things better.
- Lord, let love suffuse our relationship. Let it fill every corner of our lives, healing the rift between us. Help my partner and me to love one another as Christ loves the Church, as you love your human children: unconditionally and respectfully.
- Heavenly Father, Please shine your light upon my family. Give us the strength to overcome all of the difficulties that we are dealing with now and protect us against any problems we may encounter in the future.
- O Lord, please bring us together as we are meant to be. May the love that binds us only grow stronger as we fulfill the destiny you have laid out for us.
- Grant my family forgiveness for any sins we have committed. May we also forgive one another, Lord, as it is sometimes difficult to do.
- Thank you, Lord, for answered prayers, in Jesus name we have prayed. Amen.
