Prayer Points Against Calamity

Today we will be dealing with prayer points against calamity. What is calamity? When you hear the word Calamity, what comes to mind? A calamity is an event that brings great misfortune or loss. The loss of a child, job, or any loved one or thing is a great calamity. A great calamity befell King Saul when his son Jonathan died in battle; at that time, King Saul was so devastated that all he could do was take his own life. Sometimes when we encounter great misfortune, we can get so depressed that we would not see a solution coming.

Calamity is never the plan of God for his people. God would not do that to the people he calls his own; the devil orchestrates many calamities on man. In this prayer guide, we will be praying against calamity because you will never know how devastating it is until you experience one. Meanwhile, you don’t have to experience one before you learn how to pray against it; that is why this prayer guide is essential. As you begin to study this prayer guide, I pray that God will destroy every cloud of calamity, hovering around you in the name of Jesus.

A good example was Job in the scripture. Within the twinkle of an eye, Job lost everything he has worked for all his life; the fire razed down his business empire, all his children were crushed by the horrible hands of death that showed no mercy. As if that was not enough, he, Job, was struck with a severe sickness that threatened his life and well-being. It was so bad that his wife told him to curse God and die at least it is better than living a meaningless life of pain and agony. I decree every calamity that the enemy has staged for your life to cause you to curse God. I destroy such calamity by the fire of the Holy Ghost.

Prayer Points:

• Lord God, I set ablaze every tongue and hand-designed by the enemy to orchestrate calamity into my life in the name of Jesus. Every plan and agenda of the enemy to disgrace me, I destroy them in the name of Jesus.
• Every man and woman that has vowed to put me to shame, every man and woman that has vowed to give me a reason to doubt the existence of God, I destroy them today in the name of Jesus.
• Every Jezebel in my father’s house, every Haman in my mother’s house that the enemy has employed because of me, fall and die right now in the name of Jesus. Christ has been made a curse for us because cursed is he that is hung on the tree. Every mouth that is laying curses on me is destroyed in the name of Jesus. Father Lord, let such mouth catch fire right now in the name of Jesus.
• Every serpent that has been sent from the kingdom of darkness to destroy my long years of labor, I destroy it by the fire of the Holy Ghost. Every plan of the enemy for me to experience a great misfortune, I decree by the power in the name of Jesus that they are destroyed in the name of Jesus.
• Lord God, every plan of the enemy to inflict me with a terrible sickness, I destroy such plans in the name of Jesus. Every form of illness that has been deposited in my life by the enemy, I throw it out in the name of Jesus. For the scripture make me understand that my body is the temple of the living God, I pray that the blood of the lamb destroys any vices of the enemy to inflict me with an incurable sickness.
• The scripture says, and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the words of their testimonies. I destroy every work of the enemy in my life in the name of Jesus. Father, by virtue of the blood that was shed on the cross of Calvary, every evil bird that has been assigned into my life to monitor me, I destroy them in the name of Jesus.
• Lord God, arise now and cause a war in the camp of my enemies. Let every man and woman that rises against.me be condemned; do not let them have peace of mind everyone that wants to take away my peace in the name of Jesus.
• Every form of shame and reproach in my life, I destroy them by the power in the name of Jesus. Lord, let every object of ridicule and reproach in my life catch fire right now in the name of Jesus. Every hand of reproach in my life and destiny, such hands should dry in the name of Jesus.
• I come against every form of disaster that may arise against me in the name of Jesus. Your word makes me understand that we should redeem each day with the blood of Christ because every day is filled with evil. I redeem each day this year with your precious blood; I exempt myself from every form of calamity in the name of Jesus.
• Every plan of the enemies to inflict my children with the spirit of stubbornness, I come against it by the blood of the lamb. The power destroys every plan they have to cause me to weep over my children in the name of Jesus.
• Every object of bewitchment in my life that may drag calamity upon my life and destiny, I destroy them by the fire of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus.
• Lord God, I pray for strength when the storm of life comes raging at me with full force; I pray for the grace to remain standing in your presence. I seek the grace to hold unto my faith and belief in you courageously; I pray that you will grant me this grace in the name of Jesus. And until you come and rescue me from the pending calamity, give me the grace not to lose my faith in you in the name of Jesus.
