5). Personal Encounters: Without divine encounters, no service is worth coming. Coming to church without an encounter is like going to a hospital without receiving your healing. Therefore we must pray for the people to recieve there own encounters, for the sick to be healed, for the lost to be saved, for the discouraged to be encouraged. Christmas time is the time where we celebrate the birth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. The Christmas season is a season of celebrations and jubilations. This season is always filled with all kinds of merriments and jamborees, but the truth still remains, Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Christmas is all about Jesus Christ. Today we are going to be looking at Christmas prayers for families. As believers, we must not be carried away by the secular way of celebrating Christmas.

Some religious bodies do not agree with the celebration of Christmas, they argue about the birth of Jesus Christ, they also claim that we replaced a pagan worship and blah,blah, blah. The truth is this, they miss the point of the celebration of Christmas, we are not celebrating the age of Christ, He is eternal and ageless, rather we are celebrating the finished works of Christ. We are celebrating the God of our salvation, we are celebrating the grace of Jesus that has saved mankind. That is why we are celebrate Christmas. Man has finally made peace with God through Christ, that is worth celebrating. According to the above Scripture, if we decide to celebrate it on the 25th of December and call that day Holy, that is our Choice to make.
