We serve a prayer answering God, a God who does not store prayers but He answers them. Many believers today only know how to pray, but don’t know when there answers are delivered. Prayer is a two way communication between God and man, when you pray to the Lord, and you don’t recieve answers from God, your prayers are not complete. Prayer is not a religious exercise, rather it is a conscious communication between man and God, when we pray, we talk to God about our personal needs or the needs of others, we also must expect to recieve answers from him.
In Acts 12:5-12, we saw an example of believers praying in the house of Mary for the rescue of Peter from prison, but when the answer to there prayers came, they never knew it, even when they where told by Rhoda, they didnt believe it. This is the primary challenge of a lot of believers in the body of Christ today. Many do not know wnen there prayers is answered. Today we shall be looking at this topic, how do i know when my prayer is answered? We shall be examining 10 ways to know when your prayers is answered. This 10 ways are to guide us as we pray, they are not to be used as laws or formulas, and they are not arranged in any particular order. They are just there to show us what is really important as we build our prayer life. I pray that as you go through this 10 ways, your prayer life will be more effective, and you shall begin to see and recieve answers to your prayers in Jesus Christ name.

10 Ways To Know That Your Prayer Is Answered
1.When You Are A Child Of God:
Luke 11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 11:12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Every born again child of God is entitled to answers to their prayers. God will never withold any good thing from His children. When Jesus was at the tomb of Lazarus, He prayed this way ‘ Father, i know that you always hear me’, John 11:42. If you are a child of God, you have guarnateed access to God and everytime you pray, God will always hear you and answer your prayers.
2.When You Pray In The Name Of Jesus Christ:
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
The name of Jesus Christ, is our one way ticket to answered prayers. Every prayer must be prayed in the name of Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus Christ is the name above every other name, and at the mention of the name of Jesus Christ every knee on Earth and beyond must bow. Every mountan is moved and cast into the sea at the mention of the name of Jesus Christ. Everytime you pray, address the issues of concern to you in the name of Jesus Christ, when you do be rest assured that your prayers shall be answered.
3.When You Pray With Thanksgiving:
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Our prayers must start and end with thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is appreciating God for who He is, what He can do, and what He has done. Everytime we thank the Lord in prayers, we committ Him to answer us by granting us the desires of our hearts. The book of 1 Thessalonians 5:18, tells us that in everything we should give thanks to the Lord, because thanksgiving is the will of God for us. Also 1John 5:14 tells us that when we pray according to His will, he hears us, and because He hears us, our answers are guaranteed. God will always answer a prayer that comes from the heart of thanksgiving.
4. When Your Prayers Is Backed By The Word:
Isaiah 41:21 Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.
A prayer without the Wod is an empty speech. The word of God is what gives power to your prayer. For your prayers to be effective, it must be backed up by relevant scriptures. The prayer altar, is like a court room, God is the Judge, you are the lawyer, presenting your case before the Judge. Your case is your prayer. Every good lawyer must convince the judge by quoting relevant laws in the book to back his or her claims. Without facts, your claims will be baseless. No judge will listen to claims that are not backed up by evidence. That is exactly what prayer is like, for God to answer your prayers, you must back your prayers with relevant scriptures, this scriptures are your evidence, they are the facts that will boost the validity of your prayers. Now before you go to God in prayers concerning any issues of your life, first of all, search the scriptures, search it to find bible verses that will help you validate your requests before God. For instance, if you are praying to God for the fruit of the womb, remind Him of Exodus 23:25-26, in that scripture they word of God says, no one that serves God shall be barren. When the word of God is backing your prayers, your answers are guaranteed.
5. When You Sense Peace In Your Heart:
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Anytime we experience peace in our heart concerning an issue we are praying about, that is a clear indication that God has answered our prayers. The peace of God in our hearts is the Holy Spirit telling us that our prayers have been answered.
6.When You Pray In Faith:
James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
No one can get anything from God in prayers without Faith. Hebrews 11:6. Prayers is a faith exercise and God only operates in the realm of faith. Prayers is a faith exercise and God only operates in the realm of Faith. If you Just pray without believing in God, you will never recieve answers to your prayers. For God to intervane in your life, you must first believe in God, and also in His word. A faithless prayer is a dead prayer.
7. When We Pray With Boldness:
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
We are children of God, we are not slaves of God. The dfferent between children and slaves is fear and timidity. Children are always bold while slaves are always fearful. Every child is bold to receive from his father, because he has an inheritance in his father. But a slave has no inheritance. We must approach our prayer altar with boldness in order to receive what we desire.
8. When We Pray With All Our Heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Every prayer that comes from the heart, must always get God’s attention. This is because faith comes from the heart, and when you seek God in prayers with all your heart, you are bound to recieve answers. A good example is the case of Hannah in the bible, 1Samuel 1:13, Hannah prayed to God in her heart, her lips was not moving. It was a heart to heart communication, and she recieved express answers to her prayers. Therefore, when we seek God in prayers with our heart, we should be rest assured that our prayers shall be answered.
9. When We are In The Spirit:
Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
Being in the spirit is a major requirement for recieving answers to our prayers. Being in the spirit means to be spiritually sensitive. It means your spirit is alert and tuned to the frequency of heaven. The primary way to keep our spirit man active is through fasting and prayers. Only those that are in the Spirit can hear God’s voice. God is a Spirit, and unless we know how to tune into the spirit realm through prayers, we may not enjoy answers to our prayers. So as you pray, be in the spirit always, be spiritually sensitive, watch for your answers and you shall see them.
10. When We Trust In The Faithfulness Of God:
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Our God is a faithful God, He will always hear us when we call on Him in Prayers. God cannot Lie, When He says He will answer us when we call, then He surely will. Knowing that God is ever faithful should boost our faith in prayers and also position us to expect and recieve answers to our prayers. Everytime our faith is connected to the faithfulness of God, our answers to prayers is sure.
Conclusion
This 10 ways are sure ways to know that your prayers have been answered. Just like i said earlier, you don’t have to follow through all these signs religiously or like a law to see answers to your prayers, just trust and depend on the Holy Spirit to guide you in your prayer life. When the Spirit of God is guiding your prayers, you will naturally fulfill all these 10 steps without struggle. I pray for you today, none of your prayers will be unanswered again in the name of Jesus Christ. You are blessed.
